Microsoft Teams meeting options - only available after meeting is created
Hi all, Not sure if this the right forum for this, or if I've just got something set wrong, but I just want to clarify if this is correct. When creating a meeting in teams, you add all the scheduling details, but at that point, you cannot change meeting options. Once you save the meeting (and go back to the calendar), you can go back in at that point and then select Meeting Options - is that correct that it should only show up at that point? I only ask as we are a training company (that records our sessions) and we are using teams a lot due to the lockdowns, thus creating a large number of meetings. With the current process, it's not as efficient as I believe it could be, and could lead to admin staff missing updating the meeting options once the meeting is created.SolvedCan users record a public channel meeting for a channel they are not a member of?
For some context, we are a training organisation that, due to the events of the last year, have been delivering a lot online. Currently we are using Zoom, but would like to migrate to Teams. What I would like to achieve is: Create a team which our administrative staff members of. Create meetings against the public channel of the created team. We want to use this so that recorded meetings will be stored against the team/public channel. As all teams members will see all meetings created, we do not want our trainers to be members (do not want to bog them down). Our trainers are users within our Office 365 organisation. For the above point, we want to invite our trainers to the meetings we create against the public channels. We want our trainer to be able to record the meeting for it to be stored against the team/public channel. I've read that this is impossible within private channels, but nothing specific about public channels. In my testing, I haven't been able to get a invitee that is part of the same Office 365 org record a meeting. I'm just wondering if what I want to do is possible (if so, will keep troubleshooting) or if this sounds like something that is not possible. Thank you in advance 🙂Having Microsoft Teams recordings accessible by users other than person recording.
Hey there. I work for a training provider and we would like to implement teams for online training sessions with our students, but just trying to work out some of the nitty gritty. I've done a bit of testing, but would appreciate any feedback that will help our organisation implement Teams and accessing it's recordings saved in Stream. Currently we use Zoom, and we record our sessions via cloud and admin upload them to SharePoint to retain as evidence. From my testing, once the recording is finalised in Teams and transferred to the Stream account of the user the recorded the teams meeting, it automatically saves as a private video. I cannot find a setting to automatically change that. Our issue is that our trainers will be delivering sessions from remote locations and we do not want to have to rely on them to transfer them into our SharePoint, we want admin to do that. I find that giving admin access in Stream doesn't allow viewing of private files. Am I missing something? Or can someone propose something that might help within our context. To clarify, we want one staff member (the trainer) to be able to deliver a teams session/record it. We want another staff member (admin staff) to be able to download/delete that video from Stream and upload it to SharePoint. The problem we are having is having the admin staff being able to access the recordings from Teams within Stream. I'm grateful for any help. Thanks !Re: Import data from the web in Excel Online
robin12 I feel I'm the opposite. After having extensively used Google apps, I'm now at a small business using Office 365. They upload documents to Sharepoint so the obvious thought to collate is to use Excel online with something similar to "IMPORTDATA" and this is just another thing I've discovered Excel online doesn't provide. Wonder if they would be interested in changing to Google Apps for Business. Haha.57KViews1like0Comments
