Storage Replica - Anyone using it successfully?
I read about Storage Replica about a year ago and finally got around to setting up a demo in my environment. From my experience so far, this seems like it's still in preview. Am I doing something wrong? I've created a 4 node stretch cluster using iSCSI storage between my on-prem datacenter and Azure subscription. Getting the data disk sizes to match up was a pain in the rear since which metric is actually used to define the size of the disk isn't clearly explained. I finally got passed that and got a File Server role added to the cluster and replication setup. Only to find that I can't move the owner of the role from the on-prem site to the remote site using the Failover Cluster Manager. So, I figured I'd try the Windows Admin Center since it includes a section for Storage Replica. That does not successfully "reverse replication" either. It just changes the replication from ONPREM01 -> AZURE01 to ONPREM01->ONPREM02. And as you can imagine the automatic failover doesn't work either. Has anyone had success with the feature? Are you using it in production? This seems like a great hardware agnostic native data replication solution, but so far my experience is dismal and I can barely find any documentation on it outside of Microsoft Learn.App Proxy and Exchange Hybrid
I have what appears to be a odd scenario. I would like to enable the Exchange Hybrid config, however I don't want to expose my on-prem Exchange servers to the internet. I was thinking I could potentially use the Azure App Proxy to publish URIs like autodiscover.mydomain.com and mail.mydomain.com. I know Exchange Online needs to access the AutoDiscover URI, but can I use the App Proxy with conditional access to somehow limit access to that URI to only Exchange Online? Is there another Azure product that would do this better? Any and all suggestions welcome.Re: Is there a plan to implement DNS over HTTPS?
I too just installed Version 86.0.587.0 (Official build) dev (64-bit), but that option is not present for me. I even uninstalled and reinstalled. This is a domain computer, but outside of the home page we don't really have any GPOs applied to browsers.763Views0likes1CommentRe: Is there a plan to implement DNS over HTTPS?
LegacyOfherot I don't even see this option for this in the Flags under Version 84.0.522.44 (Official build) (64-bit) or Version 85.0.564.13 (Official build) dev (64-bit). Is there something that needs to be done to view the flag so that it can be enabled?9.4KViews0likes5CommentsReceive Connector from Office 365 Best Practice?
We're looking to setup Exchange Hybrid with centralized transport. I seem to have incorrectly assumed the Hybrid Configuration Wizard would create the receive connector for my on-prem servers. I can obviously do this manually, but there's concern that with allowing all the required IP ranges in Exchange Online that someone else from a different tenant could send email directly to our on-prem Exchange servers. What are the best practices for receive connector Inbound from Office 365 and how can I ensure it will only allow mail from our Exchange Online tenant?3.3KViews0likes2CommentsRe: MS Edge Enterprise Account Syncing
Kirby Stuart akhator I'm in a similar situation. Myself and about 5 other coworkers are using it before we roll it out org wide and replace Chrome/IE/Old Edge. However the sync isn't working for all of us and we have a lot of users who float between different computers, so that's very important feature for us to have working consistently.14KViews1like2CommentsRe: MS Edge Enterprise Account Syncing
akhator Is there special setup required for syncing an enterpise account? My company has a AAD P1 subscription. On my desktop client (81.0.389.2 Dev) using my work account I get a error that "Sync isn't available right now" and "Couldn't connect to the server. Retrying...". I have a personal profile setup and that seems to be working without issue. Any suggestions?14KViews1like16CommentsRe: App Proxy and Exchange Hybrid
Running through the hybrid configuration wizard I kept getting an error that my autodiscover url wasn’t reachable. It is listed in the requirements on docs.microsoft.com that autodiscover be reachable as well. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/Exchange/hybrid-deployment-prerequisites And isn’t autodiscover discover required if I want ActiveSync to work for mailboxes I migrate to EOL?12KViews0likes1CommentInstall this site as an app feature suggestion
I somewhat stumbled across this feature while testing out the Dev build and I've quite enjoyed it. I have noticed though that the sites that have been installed as apps still seem to share cookies with the rest of the browser though. It would be nice if when a site is installed as an app it becomes containerized.Solved1.9KViews1like4Comments
