Re: Receiving notifications on in Teams 'activity' tab when news post is issued from SharePoint
So it seems that Microsoft has changed this entire experience for reasons I cannot fathom. We could do all this natively in SharePoint already. News was already on a home page, audience targeted. Now they want us to add a news dashboard onto the home page. What on earth for? Anyway, here's the change that has broken the experience that has worked flawlessly for ages - publish a news post in SharePoint, get a notification in Teams Activity. No more. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/viva/connections/viva-connections-overview348Views0likes0CommentsAdvanced Permissions option removed from SharePoint on a Teams connected site?
Just seen this for the first time. The ability to manage permissions in SharePoint is not available on a Teams connected site? What about all the unique permissions on the site? And all the access requests? How must that get managed now? Even if I wangle the URL to get to the permissions screen, the options are no longer available. You can at least get to access requests. But that does not solve this problem. Please advise.385Views0likes0CommentsRe: Menu not updating
I've had the same issue since the modern experience started, and it's still happening today. It's on all our client tenants, all browsers and is very annoying. We spend our lives clearing the cache and expecting hundreds and thousands of users to do the same is just not feasible. The basics are not being addressed by Microsoft, its extremely frustrating.6.7KViews2likes0CommentsRe: Everyone except external users disappears form Group Visitors
This is happening all by design - but in my opinion, does not make it right. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/support/sharing-and-permissions/everyone-except-external-user-removed Microsoft has severely broken the SharePoint permissions model and they have not been able to resolve any of the permissions support calls we've logged. They must have gotten new developers to build the O365 groups platform, people who had absolutely no idea how SharePoint permissions work, and the two are not playing nicely at all. Since when does Microsoft have a say over who we add where in our platforms? That is not on....5.4KViews1like0Comments
