Re: Exchange Online Powershell not connecting in scheduled Task script
Can you login to Exchange Online PowerShell using another account? And can you check if the use of Remote PowerShell is enabled for the account having the issues? Get-User -Identity <UserIdentity> | Format-List RemotePowerShellEnabled -Thomas568Views0likes3CommentsRe: Exchange Online Powershell not connecting in scheduled Task script
Patrick0411 Currently, I do not see this behaviour in other environments. Which operating system is the script running? Are the TLS settings for .NET Framework on that system set to support TLS 1.2? -Thomas632Views0likes5CommentsRe: Can't Enable DKIM in Office 365
Bob_HaveyD2DCS You mentioned that DKIM was already enabled without CNAME resource records. Activating requires two CNAME records in an external DNS zone of the M365 custom domain, not an internal DNS zone. EXO checks the availability of the correct CNAME records before activation of DKIM. What do the mean by "4 accounts on 4 different providers"? There should only be one name server provider for the DNS records of a custom domain. May be I am getting this wrong. -Thomas1.3KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Microsoft Groups - Preventing Group Owners from being able to add other Group Owners
MikeP1115 The idea of M365 groups is a self-service approach for the group owners. I am not aware of any supported approach for your requirement. I can only imagine a workaround where you check the group owners regularly programmatically and remove users not being part of your process-controlled group. A group owner owns the group. That's it.888Views0likes0CommentsRe: Outlook blocks OME Branding LOGO
FKH900 By default, Outlook blocks external resources referenced in an email. The logo image itself is not embedded in the mail. From a security perspective, this approach is good. From a CI perspective, this isn't good. The recipient must add the sender domain to the list of secure domains. But that is a risky thing to do. Microsoft 365 supports the use of one of your custom domains for system messages: https://office365itpros.com/2023/04/13/microsoft-365-service-messages I have not tested this for OME notifications. -Thomas816Views0likes1CommentRe: Meeting Recording not showing up, even though Transcript was immediately available.
akshithmahalinga-gep How long did you wait until you stopped the video? The video will become available as soon as the media services process it. Assuming that you recorded a standard meeting, not a channel meeting. Did you check the Recordings folder in your OneDrive? You can find more information on the recording options here.4.2KViews0likes8CommentsRe: (Outlook) Duplicate Meeting on Delegates Calendar
ExchAdmin90 The "full access" permission question was not related to admin users but to other team/department/company users. Historically, duplicate meetings are created due to very different issues, e.g., (in your example) The executive has a delegate who receives invites for the executive user and confirms attendance, but the executive user himself confirms for a second time. The executive confirms an invite multiple times from different devices, and the devices cannot transmit the updated invite, e.g., hibernating a computer with Outlook desktop still open (one of my favorite issues). Therefore, it is essential to understand how the mailbox is accessed and by whom. Some other questions: What happens when the organizer sends a meeting update? Which meeting gets updated? Is the duplicate a single meeting, a meeting series, or a single updated meeting as part of a meeting series? Another tool you can use is EWS Editor. And yes, there are many moving parts regarding meeting invites.2.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: (Outlook) Duplicate Meeting on Delegates Calendar
Hi ExchAdmin90, can you provide a bit more context? Are there any users having delegate or full permission to that mailbox? Who is the organizer of the duplicate meetings? The primary user of the mailbox? A delegate to the mailbox? Someone with write-permission to the mailbox and the calendar but not a proper delegate? Does the owner of the mailbox use mobile devices? use multiple Outlook clients? Have you compared the duplicate entries using MFCMapi? -Thomas2.2KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Exchange Archive
Morne1999 3.35TB for a single mailbox is quite large. Just for clarification, is that size not the size of the "archive" database but for the archive mailbox for a single user? An archive mailbox is always an additional mailbox to the primary mailbox. Both mailboxes are associated with a single user account. If you reset the password for the user, you use the same credentials for accessing both mailboxes. I highly recommend accessing the mailbox using OWA, not Outlook. -Thomas1.2KViews0likes1CommentRe: Replace last server with management tools
ZimmermannM As you do not uninstall the last Exchange Server, you do not remove the last mailbox database containing the system mailboxes. You simply shut down the last server forever. You must extend the AD schema with the latest Exchange Server 2019 schema. Have you read the following articles? Removing Your Last Exchange Server FAQ Manage recipients in Exchange Hybrid environments using Management tools1.5KViews0likes1CommentRe: Autodiscover (public) DNS record in hybrid setup [Public Folders]
Ivarious90 As soon as all client components that require AutoD are migrated to EXO, you can change the external DNS to use the EXO CNAME target. Does EXO reference the on-premises public folder hierarchy as "external" and do EXO users have access to that hierarchy? In that case, you cannot change the external AutoD DNS resource record. Why don't you migrate modern Ex2013 public folders to EXO? -Thomas1.3KViews0likes1CommentRe: Exchange 2019 ECP broken after update
BDO_BvB What is the result, when you access the ECP using the configured Exchange namespace FQDN, e.g. https://mail.something.tld/ecp? It seems that the browser does not load the CSS files. Do you see any errors in the event log of the server? Does the IIS binding for the default website contain more than one TCP 443 binding? What does the IIS W3SVC log file tell you? Do you see any errors accessing CSS files?3.5KViews0likes5Comments- 435Views0likes0Comments
Re: Problem with Exchange admin center
ex0tic Are you able to start the Exchange Management Shell successfully, and perform some basic Get-* cmdlets, e.d. Get-ExchangeServer, Get-Mailbox, etc.? Is there anything obvious in the Windows Server event log of that server? What is your primary reason for installing Exchange Server 2013 and not Exchange 2016 at least?3KViews0likes3CommentsRe: AADC Support for Windows Server 2022 AD with Functional Level 2016
ZaimAbdulRasid, just to be precise, do you ask, if it is supported to work in an Active Directory with Windows Server 2022 DCs and Windows 2016 functional level? Or is the question, if an install of Azure AD Connect on a Windows Server 2022 DC is supported? Azure AD Connect supports a functional level of Windows Server 2003 or later. The currently supported operating system versions for an installation are Windows Server 2016 and 2019, as mentioned in the Download Center. The information provided in the Download Center conflicts with the information available in the documentation. The documentation states "Windows Server 2016 or later". I stick with the information provided for the current build available in Download Center. Prerequisites for Azure AD Connect6.4KViews0likes1Comment
