Is there a way to append the migration container entries or scan list entries to add tags?
We have manually uploaded both scan sources with tags and migration destinations with tags to bulk migrate ~500 users. The issue is that uploading csv entries will not show the user display name or UPN due to the MS bug. (Manual addition of container: A manually added container doesn't show the name or type of the container. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/stream/streamnew/understand-the-tool#add-containers-manually is useful when you don't see it auto discovered in the Scan's tab.) https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/stream/streamnew/migration-tool-release-logs#known-issueslimitation-in-the-tool There are also existing scans from the same users we uploaded but that were done by the system and those scans do include their upns & display names. I'd like to either add tags to the system scanned entries or find a way to add user names & upns to the csv uploaded entries. .Re: Selective bulk migration
And we have tried adding a tag column in the csv file when uploading a container list to the scan tool, but it fails. The stream admin migration page shows that line 2 has an issue. the SPO admin stream migration tool just errors out. The docs say tags can be added https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/stream/streamnew/understand-the-tool#tags but it just refers you to the generic SPO migration article about tags https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointmigration/mm-tagging, and I cant get that to work.Selective bulk migration
We want to migrate ~500 users at the same time ahead of the 10/15 date. We have identified the users and have a csv of their channel IDs, etc. We tried adding them to the scan tab via bulk upload csv but since they are apparently already seen by the scan tool, it wont add the containers. Is there a way to tag users in bulk in the scan tab so I can filter select them all at once vs one at a time to scan and migrate?Struggling with orphaned videos
We are really struggling with what to do about orphaned videos created by users who have left the company. We have 139 orphaned containers with 5TB & 27k videos with no way to connect them to anyone or any division of our company so they can be reviewed to see if they still matter. A large portion of them have been viewed in the last year and many are tagged as private so we cant just open them up to our entire company for review due to possible IP or data privacy issues. The really frustrating part is that the Classic GUI shows the creator's name & former UPN so the data exists. We just cant get to that data in a meaningful way that allows us to reassign ownership to an M365group for migration. If we know the UPN of the departed user who created the video we can associate them with a former supervisor, company, division, etc. The only we have been successful so far is to use a URL scraper from the classic gui under the former user's classic home page to get their video IDs. Then we create a throw away M365group to own the videos and are then able to have someone review them and migrate those videos they care about. This is not scalable. Not having a way to access that data, that is stored in Classic somewhere, via a report is unacceptable and needs to be resolved....Admin controls for recording button in Stream on SharePoint
Will there be more admin controls around who can record in Stream on Sharepoint as there are today in Stream Classic? We would like the ability to restrict who can use the record button or at least send them to a disclaimer page/popup like the company policy acknowledgement available today in Stream Classic. It has been suggested on the feedback portal but no word yet. https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/156b7e56-c491-ed11-a81b-000d3ae32cd0 & https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/b3182e83-f27a-ed11-a81b-000d3ae32cd0 Thanks452Views1like1Comment
