I agree as well, especially in schools with students that switch devices regularly this is impossible to manage otherwise. We have a document management system that is registered as a custom protocol handler with Windows and can open specific documents by using a syntax similar to the following: customprotocol://3d6022460ff74d1ea09d82acd141436b/?tenant=example This works perfectly throughout the OS and also in HTML pages in Edge. Unfortunately I can't get it to work within PDFs in the Edge PDF viewer. Edge just seems to ignore the click and nothing happens. Opening the link in the same PDF from within Adobe Reader works as expected. Is this a known limitation or is there a setting somewhere I need to turn on for this to work? Using Edge stable 79.0.309.65 on Windows 10 1809 and 1909. Pinning Edge to the task bar via start menu (More -> Pin to taskbar) does not seem to work correctly. The resulting task bar icon does not activate when launching Edge. Instead a new task bar icon is created, causing Edge to appear twice on the task bar. baig79 Maybe I'm missing something but this will only set the default until default_search_provider_data.template_url_data is set, which happens on my machine right at first launch. We're trying to complete the onboarding detection test in order to evaluate ATP. However, using the detection script provided on the portal or in the https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/microsoft-defender-atp/run-detection-test does not work. It seems the issue is that there is no reply from http://127.0.0.1, so the script can't download the '1.exe' file. As far as we can tell the agent itself is working fine, the device shows up in the portal, we can detect an EICAR file (which is reported in the portal) and toggling restrictions or isolation works as well. Not that big of a deal but it would be nice to get rid of the onboarding reminder on the dashboard. Is there an alternate source we can get the referenced '1.exe'?1.4KViews0likes0Comments
