Redirection is now 'partially' working. Redirection URL is not correct!
Marc Mroz We performed a migration on Aug 30 that included 7 Stream Only Group containers. The videos all migrated and the videos from one container only were hidden and redirection works for those videos. Today, I notice that a second of the 7 containers is 'attempting' to do the redirection when clicking on the Stream (Classic) link. I suppose that mean the 'fix' has reached our tenant? However, the redirect link is constructed wrong -it's inserting the 'Stream Migrated Videos' Folder twice. Is this a known issue with the redirect fix or do I need to continue to 'wait' for the redirect link to fix itself??? Not quite sure what's happening here: https://dummysite.com/sites/classicvideoslegacy/shared%20documents/Stream%20Migrated%20Videos/Stream%20Migrated%20Videos/QA_Site/Video%20News1_Video2_QA_AudioVideo-20170831_070334.mp4?web=1 Thanks in advance.Re: New Stream Web Part - Source > Folder > From Sites > Only shows recent shared libraries
KatherineS-Q Oh how stupid is that . And in case I might help you in return, you noted in an earlier post "It doesn't allow you to select the site and then the document library on that site. It just shows the most recent document libraries that you have accessed." I agree this web part can use many improvements, BUT if you do manage to find your site listed in 'From sties' and it's showing the wrong document library, you can click on the breadcrumb to go up a level and then all the libs do show up. I suppose Shared Docs is the default. Nothing intuitive about using this web part at this point... Thanks again!2.7KViews0likes0CommentsRe: New Stream Web Part - Source > Folder > From Sites > Only shows recent shared libraries
New Stream web part just reached our tenant. When I choose OneDrive as the source and navigate to a folder that I know has videos in it, none of my videos show up. Any thoughts (I've tried multiple folders with different video types? TIA2.7KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Stream Classic Migration Tool - do videos in Stream (Classic) get deleted after migration?
bernytubberty - yes agree it's frustrating. Stay informed by watching the MS page rakova17 suggested to get the most current information (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/stream/streamnew/migration-tool-release-logs#migration-tool-known-issues--bugs). According to this article, June 30 is when MS plans to provide A DATE when the 3 bugs(!) that comprise Issue 1 are expected to have a fix. June 30 is NOT the date when the fix will necessarily be available. Also, you might want to look into the Stream Migration Customer Connections calls hosted by MS ( https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/stream/connect#special-edition-ccoh-stream-classic-migration-tool ).3.6KViews0likes4CommentsRe: Stream Classic Migration Tool - do videos in Stream (Classic) get deleted after migration?
Hi rakova17 - I'm not from MS, but my understanding from 'MS Customer Connection' calls is that once the bug is fixed (!) any videos that were previously migrated but were not deleted from Classic and/or are not redirecting, will 'self-correct'. Of course, that still remains to be seen since bug fix is still pending - I'm personally a 'seeing is believing' personality :).3.7KViews0likes1CommentRe: Soft deletion of videos post-migrate
Henrik Blåfield This is a known issue listed in the Migration Tool release notes where sometimes migrated https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/stream/streamnew/migration-tool-release-logs#under-investigation-to-be-fixed. According to the notes, the fix is scheduled for May 30, at which point the videos 'should' soft-delete automatically. I'd suggest you refer to the Release Notes often for updates since we all know how 'things change'.Re: Stream Classic Migration Tool - do videos in Stream (Classic) get deleted after migration?
varun_taneja It's March now and we've just started running a few test migrations. We're seeing the classic videos are visible after migration to Stream (on SharePoint). Have there been any further regressions since it seems this was fixed end of January?4.2KViews0likes14CommentsRe: Embedding video on SharePoint requires Silverlight
Is Stream Web Part only available on modern pages? I don't see it on classic pages. Is there a plan to add an 'MS Stream' icon to the ribbon in the 'Media' group (similar to the "Office 365 Video" icon) so users can easily add a 'Stream' video without having to open another window, navigate to Stream, find the video's embed code, come back to the other window and embed the code. That's a lot of clicks....
