Re: Presenter alerted to questions during meeting
ChrisWebbTechwe just got the Raise Hand feature and are very glad about the addition. However, the Presenter experience is still very hampered in several respects, *especially* in these SIP times where many of our users don't currently have the luxury of multiple monitors. Most of our presenters need to use the Share Desktop mode. Without a separate monitor, they don't see or even get alerted to someone either posting something to the Meeting Chat or (now) raising their hand To make matters even more complicated, the Raise Hand indicator doesn't show up in the Chat panel, only in the Participants panel) and when you're sharing screen, it's often in full-screen mode.) So even though for some important meetings we've had a second person monitor the chat window and verbally communicate questions to the Presenter, now the person monitoring Chat can't see the Raised Hands. Do we have to have a 3rd person monitor the Participants panel too....? I think you can see where this is problematic. It seems that all sharing modes should support what the Share PowerPoint option does; the ability for the Presenter to have the chat panel open without it being visible to the audience. AND the Raise Hand feature should post an indicator into the Chat as well. Any idea if any of this is in the works? Thank you!9.4KViews3likes0CommentsRe: Video not playing embed problem - A setting in your browser is blocking cookies. Mobile only.
Mark_JLwe are having the same issue, but in our case we are not using the embed code -- we are using the Stream web part in a Modern SP page. Works fine in Chrome but not in Safari. We get the same symptom. We tried the workaround suggested in another thread of turning off Prevent Cross-Site Tracking, clearing cache & cookies, etc. but the web part still displays the same message (I have cookie blocking turned off too, and block pop-ups for good measure) -- and prompting to Open in a new window. All our MSFT and Apple versions are current. Our company has standardized on Apple mobile devices and we are getting ready to roll out our brand new intranet built on SP modern. @sailerajRe: Stream Embed not visible (webpart is blank) in iOS on mobile
Saili RajeMarc Mroz Is there any update at all on this issue? We have premium support, and attempted to get an update with the incredibly frustrating response as if Microsoft had never heard of this problem and a standard 'we can't recreate the issue (through multiple levels of escalation up to and including someone from the product team.) We are using the Preview Stream web part in a modern site. As with others, the videos display and play just fine on desktop but not on iOS mobile devices (iPhone or iPad). We tried the workaround suggested of turning off Prevent Cross-Site Tracking, clearing cache & cookies, etc. but the web part still displays a message indicating that a setting in the browser is blocking cookies (I have cookie blocking turned off too, and block pop-ups for good measure) -- and prompting to Open in a new window. All our MSFT and Apple versions are current. Our company has standardized on Apple mobile devices and we are getting ready to roll out our brand new intranet built on SP modern. This is a huge blocking issue. Is there any news -- and it would be great if your support and product folks were made aware as well.
