Re: Microsoft Edge falls at first hurdle
Gerry5039 I have found out the issue which is caused when you close Microsoft Edge, on going into Task Manager it shows 10 Microsoft edge listings that did not close properly. Once it reaches that amount it will not open Edge, I have to keep going in and clearing all, 10 listings when this happens, then I can carry on. When I close the browser it is not clearing in task manager that's where the problem is, does not do it in any other browser.2.5KViews0likes5CommentsMicrosoft Edge falls at first hurdle
Microsoft Edge falls at first hurdle, it refuses to open once closed I have to restart my computer everytime I want to use Edge at least the Dev Channels always worked. Now I cant use the software at all and have had to go back to Firefox, which I did not expect. Any news when this will be fixed, or do you not know about it.Solved2.7KViews0likes12CommentsRe: Dev channel build 77.0.218.4 is live
Drew1903 Drew I read your comment and find it condesending mate, some of us are not able to accept change for accessability reasons. Constantly changing this just because it looks pretty or stop people from using something that they have got used to is a harrowing consept for some, I have Malacular Degeneration and am slowly going blind, I paid good money to buy Windows 10 Pro, times 5 and Office 365. through PC World. Even the slightest change to an operating system is hard to accept but we do try to adapt ie changing things to make them cosmetically nice without warning, and then make it very hard to get it back the way you wanted it in the first place, it should be left to the customer to decide we should have the right to say through an option within the software, whether we want to change the look of it or not, not be told thats the way it has to be. I woke up one morning and Microsoft had changed my desktop layout through an update and I spent hours on the phone just trying to get help to get my desktop back to some form of normality because all the colours were completely changed, no would you like to download this update it just did it itself. But the fact is with Microsoft you do not get a choice even though we are the customer, its their way or the highway, we do not even have the choice anymore, of being able to not download updates. We must do it, we can defer them, but we are still forced to download them. Thankfully there are other operating systems out there and I for one am looking now to switch to another, all because my choice has been taken away from me.2.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Have feedback on the performance of Edge? We're Listening!
Hi Eleanor I left Firefox Quantum because they were telling us who we could visit and who we cant, who we could talk to and who we cant, without even giving the us the right to choose, they are becoming the internet Police, started to control everything, and not for the better. That's why I chose Edge C now I have control Microsoft tells you its not safe to visit such and such and leaves me to make the choice, not stopping you dead and not allowing you to move, they have even made it now that you cannot make an exception and carry on, that to me is not the freedom to surf where ever I wish, that is telling me where I can and cannot go, they are now trying to be the cyber Police. I did write and tell them so, and where to stuff their Firefox, needless to say they did not get back to me LOL. Edge C to me is like a breathe of fresh air, I hate IE with a vengeance, but now this is beautiful and will hit number #1 spot as soon as it is commercially released, and if I can help you in anyway to get it there, then you got me. Keep up the good work everyone, then you can say " I did my bit " 👍👍. All the best Gerry2.6KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Have feedback on the performance of Edge? We're Listening!
josegime47 I must be one of the lucky ones then I have 64mb of ram and an AMD 12 compute core processor. And mine flies along, only time I know something is happening in the background is when Windows 10 updates itself. My Edge C runs really fast, might have to find a way to tie it down lol. And yes Eleanor sorry I am late welcome 👍👍.2.8KViews1like4CommentsRe: Dev channel build 77.0.218.4 is live
Mr Authentic I totally agree with you on the VPN aspect, as it is needed by all on the Internet, its always a very expensive commodity just for basic security protection, something that Microsoft could do well looking into, especially in today's climate of cyber crime.17KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Dev channel build 77.0.218.4 is live
Hi Drew IE is being phased out of Edge slowly but surely, as it progresses to the New phase of Edge, eventually Edge will be a stand alone browser, without dependencies on Chrome or any other, It will be a completely new all singing all dancing whoopee browser. I am blind and I use Dolphin Supernova without any glitches at all. Well done Microsoft, I have no accessibility problems at all. ikjadoon I totally agree with the adblocker built into Microsoft Edge we really need it, its something I have been waiting for ages, it would be a fantastic addition to a fantastic browser. I have moved over from Firefox Quantum and I am glad I did. Keep up the good work.2.8KViews1like0Comments
