Re: Why is a PIN required for using a hardware key for MFA?
Joe StockerThank you for your reply. That's good to know, and that does answer my question. That's unfortunate as my ideal configuration would be multi-factor with just password (something I know) and a hardware key (something I have) (so no third factor - no PIN), which is more consistent with the way most of the other services I use have implemented FIDO keys. Thanks again for your help.14KViews1like2CommentsWhy is a PIN required for using a hardware key for MFA?
I am trying to pilot usingFIDO2 hardware keys for MFA with Office 365. I see the option to add a hardware key in my Office 365 account security options. After inserting my hardware key, I get a message in Microsoft Edge that says "PIN required - Enter the PIN for your security key". This is a Yubikey, and it is not currently registered as an authentication method on my account. I don't have a PIN for it. Why am I being asked for this? I want to use this key my MFA authentication method, replacing my usual method of a mobile phone authenticator app.14KViews2likes4CommentsRe: Teams external chat not working after upgrade
After doing more testing, it seemed to be affecting the Mac desktop app the most. Reinstall of Teams did resolve it. I had to reinstall all of Microsoft Office and clear out a bunch of Library folders. For now, it is seems to be working.29KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Teams external chat not working after upgrade
I am having this exact same issue. I don't see a clear resolution here. Does anyone know how to start a completely new chat with an external user? I don't see a way to delete a chat, neither in the web app nor the desktop app. I wonder if that could help me. I have seen this with several external users.29KViews0likes1CommentMigration Manager Differential Copy
I am going through the docs on Migration Manager as part of planning a file server to SharePoint migration. The file server I am looking at is large and used often enough that a differential copy would be helpful. That is, I would like to first copy all the data to SharePoint using Migration Manager, and then at a later date run another copy task which only copies changed files/bits. Is this possible?987Views0likes1CommentTest group for Azure AD Single Sign-On
I have a client who currently has AD Connect and ADFS + SSO set up. I'm interested in moving a group of test users at this client over to Azure AD Seamless Single Sign-on with Password Hash Synchronization. Are these configurations all or nothing? That is, is it not possible to apply the new, desired authentication scheme to just a small subset of users without affecting the larger production userbase? Thanks for an advice you offer!Solved2KViews0likes4CommentsFormat View on a List for all users
Hello. I am able to successfully format list rows in SharePoint using JSON with the "Format current view" feature, but it only applies to the currently logged in user. Is there a way to format lists in this way and have the formatted view appear for all users who access the list? Thanks.1.5KViews0likes2CommentsCopy entire Plan from one Office 365 Group to another?
The subject says it pretty well. We have a few disparate Office 365 Groups we are looking to combine into one consolidated Group. We have plans scattered across the existing Groups. Is there a way to copy entire plans from one Group to another?1.4KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Understanding Project SharePoint Integration
Thanks for your response, Paul. I checked and the default PWA is using SharePoint Permissions mode. I know how to see the members in the Sharepoint site collection groups, but is there a way as a Sharepoint admin to see which users are "on the projects team" for a given Project stored in the PWA?13KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Understanding Project SharePoint Integration
Paul, Thanks for your response and for the link to those docs. I looked them over, and compared to what I see in the default PWA in my environment. It's starting to make sense. One additional question I have: Do the group memberships given in the PWA site collection apply to all projects in the site? So, if I add a user as a "Team Member", do they have visibility across all projects or just to specific projects they are involved in? If I want to lock down some projects, do I need to set those up in a new PWA site? Thanks again!13KViews0likes4CommentsUnderstanding Project SharePoint Integration
We use Office 365 with SharePoint Online. No on-prem SharePoint whatsoever. I am trying to understand how Project Online is integrated with SharePoint. Where exactly are the "projects" created with Project Online Professional stored? Are they stored inside the PWA site collection? If so, is there maintenance required for the site collection where these projects are stored? Should users who are assigned a Project Online Professional license be given some level of access to the PWA site collection by the SharePoint administrators in the organization? Thank you for your help.Solved13KViews0likes6Comments
