Re: Since Updating Nvidia driver, shortcut keys to screensaver inoperative ...
Based on your description, this is almost certainly an Nvidia driver problem. A recently updated graphics driver is the direct cause, and it's a common issue where new drivers can interfere with system-level functions like hotkeys and screen blanking. Quick Fixes to Try: Roll back the Nvidia driver in Device Manager to the previous version that worked. Perform a clean installation of the latest Nvidia driver using the "Custom" option in GeForce Experience or the installer, checking the "Perform a clean install" box. Check the Nvidia Control Panel for a setting called "Desktop > Enable Desktop Menu" and ensure it is turned on, as this can affect hotkey functionality.35Views0likes0CommentsWindows 11 settings app - home page loading
I started getting this weird issue with the settings app after recently doing a clean install of 23h2 after trying out 24h2 (also happened there I think), where the settings app and its home page is loading. It can take a few seconds and it can also be stuck for like 20+, but it should never be happening at all since what the hell is there to load? I didn't have it prior to this, so I don't know if something got messed up with the 23h2's recent updates or if it's maybe Copilot that I usually force remove, but haven't this time since I started using it from time to time. Using Nvidia's drivers 561.09 and the installation is clean otherwise, no idea what can be causing the extensive loading on the settings app.41Views0likes0CommentsRe: How can I backup or transfer Android contacts to PC with Windows 11?
The contacts exported from Android phone is not editable. You have to export them in xslx, csv or txt for future editing. You can bulk transfer contacts from Android to PC with DroidGeeker. The benefit is that you can selectively choose the contacts you want to backup.10KViews4likes0CommentsHow to transfer Windows 10 to new computer with everything untouched
Hi, I have a Windows 10 PC with more than 10 years and I am going to get it retired as I build a new PC now with modern hardware, including the latest Intel i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD and Geforce 4060 graphics card. Before moving forward, how can I transfer Windows 10 to new computer (probable the latest Windows 11) with everything being moved, including the license key, programs and user files. I can stick to Windows 10 if it gets easier to do than Windows 11. If you knew how to do this, please share your knowledge about this!19KViews0likes6CommentsHow to screen mirroring Android to laptop with Windows 10
My laptop runs Windows 10, and my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S24) is running the latest version of Android 14. I've heard about various tools and built-in features that can facilitate screen mirroring, but I'm unsure which option would provide a smooth and reliable experience without significant lag or quality loss. So far, I've tried using the built-in "Connect" app on Windows 10, but I encountered some compatibility issues and couldn't establish a stable connection. Additionally, I explored third-party applications, but I found them either too complicated to set up or limited in functionality without purchasing the premium versions. Could anyone recommend the most effective and user-friendly way to screen mirroring Android to laptop? Detailed steps or personal experiences with specific software solutions would be incredibly helpful.26KViews0likes10CommentsThe best ogg to mp3 file converter for Windows 11?
I have a collection of OGG audio files that I want to convert to MP3 for better compatibility with my devices and media players. My computer runs Windows 11, and I'm using it for both personal and professional purposes. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I prefer ogg to mp3 converter with a simple and intuitive interface. Detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated, especially if there are multiple steps involved. I'm hoping to find free tools that don't compromise on audio quality. If possible, I'd like to convert multiple files at once to save time. It's important that the converted MP3 files retain the original audio quality as much as possible. Thanks for your input!1.1KViews0likes9CommentsRe: What is the best data recovery for Mac in 2025? Please recommend!
While Time Machine is a powerful and widely used backup solution for Mac users, it may not always be the most suitable option for everyone’s data recovery needs. Here are several reasons why relying solely on Time Machine might not be ideal. 1.Dependence on External Hardware Time Machine requires an external storage device, such as an external hard drive, Network Attached Storage (NAS), or a Time Capsule, to store backups. This dependence on physical hardware introduces potential points of failure. If the external drive becomes damaged, lost, or disconnected, your backup process can be interrupted, potentially leaving you without recent backups. Additionally, managing and maintaining external hardware can be cumbersome, especially for users who prefer a more hands-off approach. 2. Limited Offsite Backup Time Machine primarily creates local backups. In the event of physical damage to your Mac—such as theft, fire, or natural disasters—both your device and the external backup drive could be compromised simultaneously. Without an offsite backup solution, recovering your data becomes significantly more challenging. Cloud-based backups, like iCloud or other third-party services, offer the advantage of storing your data in geographically dispersed data centers, providing an additional layer of protection against local catastrophes. 3. Storage Capacity Limitations While Time Machine can handle large amounts of data, the capacity is ultimately limited by the size of your external storage device. As your data grows, you may need to invest in larger or additional drives to accommodate ongoing backups. Managing multiple drives can become unwieldy and may incur additional costs. Cloud storage solutions typically offer scalable storage options, allowing you to increase your backup capacity seamlessly as your needs evolve. 4. Potential for Data Corruption If the external backup drive used by Time Machine becomes corrupted, your entire backup history could be compromised. Recovering from a corrupted Time Machine backup can be difficult and may require specialized tools or professional assistance. Cloud-based backups often include built-in redundancies and data integrity checks, minimizing the risk of data corruption and ensuring that your backups remain reliable. IMOP, iCloud is much better data recovery for Mac solution than Time Machine.47Views0likes0CommentsRe: What is the best free online video format converter?
An online video converter is a web-based tool that allows users to change the format of their video files without needing to install any software on their devices. These converters support a variety of input and output formats, enabling users to convert videos to formats compatible with different devices, platforms, or specific requirements. Typically, the process involves uploading the original video file to the converter's website, selecting the desired output format, and then initiating the conversion. Once the process is complete, users can download the converted video directly from the site. This convenience makes online video converters particularly appealing for quick, one-time conversions or for users who prefer not to manage additional software on their computers. The way online video format converters work is relatively straightforward. When a user uploads a video file to the converter's server, the platform utilizes its processing capabilities to transcode the video from the original format to the selected target format. This involves decoding the original video, re-encoding it in the new format, and often compressing the file to reduce its size. The entire conversion process is handled on the converter's servers, meaning that the user's device is only used for uploading the original file and downloading the converted version. This server-based processing allows users with less powerful hardware to perform conversions that might be resource-intensive if done locally on their devices.294Views0likes0CommentsRe: How to make Win 11 sync time on boot
Press Win + R to open the Run dialog. Type services.msc and hit Enter. In the Services window, scroll down to find Windows Time. Double-click on it to open its properties. Ensure that the Startup type is set to Automatic. If it's not, change it to Automatic and click on Apply, then OK. You can access the time settings by searching for "Date & time settings" in the Start menu. In the Date & Time settings, make sure that the option Set time automatically is turned on.2.1KViews1like0CommentsCreate windows 10 password reset disk without knowing the password?

I've been using various graphic design tools over the years, but I've found that I often need to convert raster images (like PNG or JPEG) to vector formats for scalability and editing purposes. Conversely, there are times when I need to export my vector designs into more common formats for sharing or use in other applications. While there are several online SVG converters available, I prefer a robust PC-based solution that offers more control, better quality conversions, and enhanced security for my files. What I'm looking for: Ease of Use: Intuitive interface for both beginners and advanced users. Quality: High-quality conversions with minimal loss of detail. Features: Support for batch conversions, editing capabilities, and compatibility with various file formats. Performance: Fast processing times without significant lag, even with large files. Cost: Ideally, a cost-effective solution, whether free or reasonably priced. I've come across a few SVG converters like Adobe Illustrator, and some online converters, but I'm not sure which one would best suit my needs. If you've had positive experiences with best SVG converter software on PC or have insights into other reliable tools, I would greatly appreciate your recommendations and any tips you might have.1.2KViews0likes7Comments
