Re: Delegating Rights to create WVD Host Pools and manage permissions
Hi Ed, That person should have Tenant Creator Role https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/tenant-setup-azure-active-directory#assign-the-tenantcreator-application-role Also to deploy Host Pools he should have contributor role on Azure Subscription Also he should have appropriate permissions to create/Assign RDS owners as mentioned in the below article https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/create-service-principal-role-powershell#create-a-role-assignment-in-windows-virtual-desktop-preview Ed Stalcup1.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Windows AD identities synced to another Azure AD tenant
I was having the same concern about Azure Subscription where my host pools will be located was in another Azure AD tenant and my Users with licenses are in different Azure AD tenant. There is no where mentioned that where my host pools are located I should sync the user in that tenant. I had raised the same question before in the forum and then I tried this myself. Everything works fine. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Windows-Virtual-Desktop/Azure-AD-tenant-is-different-and-Azure-Subscription-where-my/td-p/895654 Marcel A' Campo923Views0likes0CommentsRe: Windows Virtual Deskop - Regional Avalibility
Hi, Management servers are distributed to other location but not present in all the region. You can find the nearest region with least RTT using the below link. https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/services/virtual-desktop/assessment/ Johan_NZ1.1KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Windows Virtual Desktop add user in to another app group error
You're currently hitting the limitation of Windows Virtual Desktop. where a user cannot be part of Remote Desktop AppGroup and RemoteApp AppGroup within the same host Pools. To work around you can create another set of Host Pool and then create RemoteApp AppGroup in tha host pool and assign that to the same original user. WVD team knows about this limitation and you can upvote this feature on uservoice NKUGAN3.3KViews0likes1CommentRe: Hostpool is spining up new vm rather than connecting user to multi session windows 10 desktop
If new VMs were spun up and i suspect it would be scaleup script which you configured for auto shutdown and auto start of the session servers? as scaler VM where you configure task scheduler. is that configured in your environment? If you are not using scaling script then new VMs cannot be deployed automatically by WVD and manual intervention is needed for such type of deployment. richiewrt824Views0likes0CommentsRe: Windows Virtual Desktop Experience Estimator
oh! I think this is the reason why I see UK RTT is lesser when i open the tool from Mumbai where West India should be having less latency. As it connects with other service of virtual desktop like connection broker or gateway and then to the region of the session host. it is cumulative RTT of the VDI infra + Azure Region where the session host pools.15KViews0likes1CommentRe: Remote App not showing in webfeed
I tried creating another host pool in the same tenant and then created a new RemoteApp App Group. Assigned to the same user and it works. So that means we can assign a user with RemoteApp and Desktop App group but it should be from different host pool and not from same pool.markkrolwsb6KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Azure AD tenant is different and Azure Subscription where my Host pool is hosted in different tenant
I was waiting for the reply but then I got the hands-on with multiple tenant and I created the above environment. It is working flawlessly. so we can create Azure Subscription in different tenant and Azure AD where users are syncing can be in different tenant. it's possible.2.1KViews0likes2CommentsAzure AD tenant is different and Azure Subscription where my Host pool is hosted in different tenant
Hi Team, Thanks in advance, query is mentioned below. I have one scenario, Azure AD Tenant (A) is bind to Azure Subscription where my virtual desktop host pools are hosted. Tenant (B) is hosting my Users where my RDS tenant will be registered and also users with M365 Licenses will be hosted? Is that allowed and supported?Solved2.1KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Outlook 2016: Sharepoint MRU attachment list problems
Browse Web Locations gets populated if you have used the sharepoint site in Windows Explorer and browsed it. It is autopopulated and there is no feature to add it manually, but if you are using Sharepoint Online then you can find all your concent Under "Sites" which is below the Browse web Location option. To confirm if you have enabled the Sharepoint Site, Click File-Office Account and check if you are able to see your tenant name with Site.1.8KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Outlook cannot setup
