Migrated videos still in Stream (Classic)
Happy Wednesday, We did our migration, and we still have a couple of the videos that still show up in the Stream (Classic) portal even though they are migrated to SharePoint. They never disappeared from Stream Classic like the rest did and they were done at the same time. To make matters stranger, when you click on the original hyperlink it does not redirect to the videos on SharePoint. Question: If we delete the videos from Stream (Classic) will the embed start to work ? Is there another way to get them to work? As always thank you for the amazing support during this migration. Thanks in advance. ggbRe: Identify how to programmatically locate the transcript of each video
Happy Friday Marc, Thank you as always for being a real resource on this endeavor/project and I appreciate you for it. We were trying to replicate back-end functionality. We have a database tool for managing digital assets. The team was able to use the tool to select videos and search by specific words in the transcript to start the video from. Using the tool, they were able to return the user the transcript and navigate using the transcript links. As I understand it this was an important search feature that was part of the digital asset management tool, and they are no longer able to do it. Is there some way to replicate this on the new platform? LMK Thanks in advance. Have a great weekend. Cheers! Happy Friday Karen, You are awesome as always. I did do one last week and it allowed me to re-migrate them. I did the update within a few minutes of the completion so I will have to confirm with them. I was looking for confirmation that there had not have been some sort of update. Thank you for the knowledge. Thx ggbIf I deleted my migration did it again would the embed links be redirected to the new migration site
Happy Thursday, We just finished our migration on October 15th, but I have some clients who want to take the data that was migrated to their OneDrive and migrate it to another SharePoint site. If I deleted the migration job on the Migration tab, and do it again would any embedded links be redirected to the new migration site or would the still be pointing to the OneDrive location https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/stream/streamnew/step-by-step-guide#during-migration As always, your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. ggbIdentify how to programmatically locate the transcript of each video
Happy Thursday, I had a request from one of our content managers that I was not able to answer so I thought this would be the appropriate place to ask. "help to identify how to programmatically locate the transcript of each video - right now he has reported that when he views a Stream on SharePoint [video] page, he is not able to see how he can automatically access the transcript - is there an API or other method available?" By that he means he wants to be able to go into every video and get the transcripts from them without having to manually go through each one and download them. Your help is greatly appreciated in answering this question. Thanks in advance. ggb2KViews2likes8CommentsRe: Move video's from folder "Migrated stream video's" to another library within the same site
Happy Monday, I too had the same question, and I was told that it would work but when we created new folders and moved other folders to them within the Stream Migrated Videos folder, we got errors on the redirect. Has anybody else had the same issue??? ggbWhen a migration is complete
Happy Wednesday, We are finishing our migration and preparing for October 15th. When should the redirect links work today, or Monday? Will they show up in the browser address bar as the https://web.microsoftstream.com/ or as the https://<domain>.sharepoint.com/ ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thx ggbSolved
