WAC Future
I'm curious what the future of Windows Admin Center is? Looking at some of the extensions like Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP you don't get a lot of feature parity with their MMC counterparts. With Linux available in just about every environment, will there every be in the future a way to manage them inside of the admin center? Will be the best way to manage this is through Azure instead of the On-Premises Windows Admin Center. Thanks.463Views2likes1CommentRe: Azure AD account expiration date
What would really be nice is if we could sync from On-Premises Active Directory to Azure AD the account expiration date. While we can sync and block access if the account is disabled, but when it comes to contractors you are not always told when a contract has ended and there account stay enabled. This allows them to still have access to data/email/teams/etc when they are no longer contracting.86KViews0likes1CommentPoint Powerapps form to different list view
This is just a general question, but when you customize a SharePoint list form can you change it from pointing to the "All Items View" to another view that has been created? For Example https://abc.sharepoint.com/sites/TestSiteB/Lists/Project%20PipeLine/AllItems.aspx to https://abc.sharepoint.com/sites/TestSiteB/Lists/list/myview.aspxAlerts
This is just an observation, but when it comes to Alerts there are too many places, we must look to get the data and close the Alerts Security Admin Center Compliance Admin Center Azure Portal Cloud App Security Portal Security and Compliance Admin Portal Wondering if anyone has been able to aggregate them?Alerts
I don’t know if it’s me, but in the security and compliance area it seems we have to go to two different places to resolve or look at alerts. We have the new Security dashboard that only seems to surface the ones from Cloud App Security and then we need to go into Protection.office.com to close others. Is there any chance this will be merged into one place. Also in the security dashboard, in the alerts area there seems to be no way to filter out the resolved ones as I only want to see the active ones. Is that going to be changed I wonder?AzureAD/AzureADpreview
Just saw a message center post on retirement in June 2022 of Azure AD PowerShell. Just for my understanding the AzureAD/AzureADpreview PowerShell modules are going to be retired and what we did with those modules we can do with the MS Graph PowerShell commands? Are they also going to retire the MSonline powershell modules along with it as those seem to have been around when it was called BPOS.SolvedAzureAD Powershell 7
Wondering if any version of PowerShell 7 will work with the AzureAD or AzureADPreview modules. When I try to connect I get an error "One or more errors occurred" I'm trying to move my environment from Windows Power 5.1 to Windows Powershell 7. Currently running Powershell 7.2 Preview 7. Maybe there is another module I need to use instead of AzureAD or AzureADPreview. ThanksSolved25KViews0likes4CommentsNetwork Security Groups
After looking at Azure Security Center recommendations that not all my VM's have NSG's and probably a policy I need to create requiring it. On the ones that do created there are three rules that are automatically created. The first one which is basically a allow all rule, and not sure if I missing something, but when looking at that rule you would never get to the deny rule. The reason I'm saying this is because when you look at the source/destination of the Virtual network its 0.0.0.0/0 which is basically any. While Azure does come with a default set of service tags, all that does it put the source/destination in for you by using that tag. If you never want to get to these rules, then you really need to put rules ahead of them if traffic needs to be restricted. The other issue I have with NSG's that its like the old firewall days where its Source (IP), Destination (IP) and Ports, compared to most of your NGFW's, that have become Application based especially for those applications that use multiple ports/dynamic ports. While I'm not an expert on this, this is just some of my 2 cents on it.Solved2.2KViews0likes3CommentsCopy Pewrmissions between sites
Was wondering if its possible using the PowerShell PnP module or the SharePoint Online PowerShell module to copy permissions between two sites. I have one site that has a lot of info that don't want shared externally, but wanted to copy the permissions of the site to another site so they can use that site to share externally. Thanks1.2KViews0likes2CommentsUsability
While I do like the new admin center, but why should I really use this over just RDP'ing into the server. You have some of the modules (Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS) in preview mode, but they really aren't useable. The other thing is in most RDP connection manager we can have multiple tabs open, but in Windows Admin Center you can only have one connection to a server, cluster, etc. Don't have the ability to click and tell it to open in a new tab. Not sure if this is really a place for it, but there doesn't seem to be a Group Policy module and maybe not something that can be put into Windows Admin Center.946Views1like0CommentsDefault Save Word/Excel web versions
Wondering if anyone has seen anywhere if Microsoft is going to update the web versions of Word/Excel and PowerPoint to pick where you want to save your documents. As it is now it seems to save it to the root of your OneDrive. When I open Word Online and create a new document it automatically saves the file as Document as the root of my OneDrive. Not sure if this needs to be put on uservoice?598Views0likes0CommentsSample Content
I have my own personal tenant so I can try and stay up on latest features coming out, but wondering if others who have this or a dev tenant are doing to populate the tenant with content to try and simulate what might be going on in a production template For example Home Site Modern Lists Teams features Hero web part This is just curiosity on my part1.1KViews0likes2CommentsSystem Center 2019 - Microsoft Monitoring Agent
I'm running System Center 1807 and thinking about upgrading it to System Center 2019 Operation Manger, but looking at the MMA it looks like it only supports 2012->2019. I know 2008 R2 is end of support in January, so if I upgrade it do I lose the ability to monitor my 2008 R2 servers? Also where I have Azure, do I put the MMA on it and just have Azure do all my monitoring is another option I'm considering.Solved6.2KViews0likes2Comments
