Re: iOS Calender Events Synced to Outlook 365 Using Default Alert Reminder Times Don't Appear in Outlook
Audrey0519 Apple did nothing. The alert is there and works fine in iOS. Microsoft wrote faulty code on a recent update to Windows or Outlook and now the default alerts are not transferred successfuly to Outlook as they always have been for many years.1.5KViews0likes6CommentsiOS Calender Events Synced to Outlook 365 Using Default Alert Reminder Times Don't Appear in Outlook
Now, when an event is created in an iOS calendar (iPhone, iOS 17.3) and uses the Default Alert time, this alert will not appear in Outlook 365 (Windows 11 latest build as of 1 hour ago). The event shows up in Outlook, but reminder shows "None". If the event is created in an iOS calendar (iPhone) using an Alert time OTHER THAN the Default Alert time, then is will appear correctly in Outlook 365. This problem has caused to miss some important appointments, because reminders not longer appear in Outlook 365. This all worked correclty up until a month or so ago, but Microsoft changed something and created this bug. I tried rolling iOS back and the same issue with Outlook 365 is still there. I also used iOS 17.4 (Beta) and the same issue persists. We can't fix Microsoft 365 Outlook bugs on our own. This is Microsoft's ongoing poor quality control when they publish updates, and we've had many other similar experiences with Microsoft (all windows updates complete as of 10 minutes ago, and all MS 365 updates are current as well.)1.9KViews0likes8CommentsRe: File Explorer slow in Onedrive Folders
JMOEDATA Looks like we have different setups. I use my Microsoft account's email address for Contacts and Calendar. For my email, I use my ISP's email address and added it to Outlook. This way I don't need iCloud at all. iClud is slow and unreliable IMO, and has been that way for years (I have tried to use it for years). I got fed up so I switched to the config I just described. I also use an iPhone and iPad with this config and it works flawlessly for email, Contacts, and Calendar. (A Microsoft tech suggested this approach a couple of years ago and it has fixed all of the issues I had before when I used iCloud in the manner you're describing. There is no reason why Apple and Microsoft really care about having iCloud on a PC work well ... both companies have their own business models and don't want to invest in supporting cross-platform integrations like iCloud.) If you have a paid Microsoft Office subscription then you can talk to a Microsoft rep about getting the same setup as I have. I'll never go back to iCloud ... I've tried and tried and as I said, there is no reason either company wants it to work well.)15KViews0likes0CommentsRe: File Explorer slow in Onedrive Folders
kockspock Same here. Just started a couple of days ago. After i removed icloud, then uninstalled OneDrive, then rebooted, then reinstalled OneDrive (from MS website ... ie: NOT the MS Store OneDrive app!) everything started opending fine again without the 10-20 second delay everytime I access a folder or file. I did have to wait 10 minutes or so until OneDrive had synced a sufficient number of folders and files, but seems fine now ... exactly as before.18KViews0likes2Comments
