Re: Would someone from the Microsoft Partner Program please answer three simple questions
As mentioned earlier in the thread Microsoft Partner support suggested I post my comments on this community site, now you are telling to open a new Microsoft Partner Support case! I give up!1.2KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Would someone from the Microsoft Partner Program please answer three simple questions
This is not about incentives it is about qualification criteria! My example 11 seats Exchange Online is a valid workload, 8 Seats Microsoft 365 Business Premium is not valid workload! Surely the 8 seats of Microsoft 365 Business Premium is a more eligible customer! SMB track: Each customer tenant having at least 1 workload with paid seats between 11 to 300 is counted to be an eligible Tenant for SMB track.Re: Would someone from the Microsoft Partner Program please answer three simple questions
Question one is simple, why is a customer with 11 licenses of Exchange Online licenses total value in UK £36.30 per month is deemed a valid workload as there are 11 seats. However, a second different customer 8 licenses of Microsoft 365 Business Premium licenses total value UK £144.80 per month is not a valid workload as there are only 8 seats. Why is there not a weighting for higher value licenses?1.3KViews0likes6CommentsRe: Would someone from the Microsoft Partner Program please answer three simple questions
LicensingConcierge1It was suggested by Microsoft Partner Support on two separate occasions to use this channel. Now you say this is not the correct channel. This just about sums up the whole process of trying to Partner with Microsoft.Would someone from the Microsoft Partner Program please answer three simple questions
1: With the new partner scheme, why is there no weighting for types of Office 365 licenses sold? A customer 11 Exchange online licenses, are a valid workload. However, a second customer with 8 Microsoft 365 Business Premium is not a valid workload. Surely the second customer should have more weighing based on license value? 2: In a current business climate where businesses even Microsoft are making redundancies, we as partners have to buck that global trend and sell more Microsoft licenses annually to our customers. 3: Microsoft next big push is AI, like most technologies these are designed create efficiencies (reduce head count), again we are encouraged to sell our customers AI and expected the same customers buy more licenses. With points 2 and 3 in mind, shouldn’t customer retention carry a higher value.Re: Eligible Workload Requirement of for Partner Solutions
MartijnElfersYou're are probably correct, I suspect new program is designed to reduce the number Smaller Microsoft Partners in the eco-system. Smaller Microsoft Partners have spent years migrating SMB businesses to Azure and Office 365 so Microsoft probably do not require smaller partners anymore. We where a Gold Partner before the changes in October, now we can't qualify to figure!Eligible Workload Requirement of for Partner Solutions
Below is data from UK Government indicating there are1,187,045 business with 9 or fewer employees. It is highly unlikely any of the1,187,045 business will have the 11 eligible workloads which counts towards Microsoft Partner Solution Modern Workplace SMB. Why don't these smaller business workloads count? They are still purchasing Microsoft products and services and as Partnerthey need need our help and support. DanMo1We had 73 Points in March so we qualified for a new designation by June our renewal date we had 39 points! We lost 34 points in three months so were not eligible to renew the designation. Does seem very strange.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Microsoft Solutions Partner designation in Azure - concerns
Todd McCullough I am not happy with the Microsoft Partner program at all. It seems the program bears little resemblance to business reality. The explanation to my legitimate question about points fluctuation was that’s how the program is designed. My concern about huge fluctuation in monthly partner points has never been addressed by Microsoft Partner Support. We lost 32 points in one month after steady growth it makes no sense!1.4KViews2likes3Comments
