Differences in the payment schedules
When selling through the Azure Marketplace there are various payout schedules. In the reports i see different types of 'Sales Channels'. There is: Enterprise Go to Market Pay as you Go But in the documentation (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/marketplace-offers/payout-policy-details) there are other terms that are being used EA MCA CSP Can anyone else to explain in detail when we can expect to get the money for each type of Sales Channel? Thank you.107Views0likes2CommentsWhat I took away from Ignite (better late than never)
Microsoft Ignite 2024 focused heavily on advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), productivity, security, and cloud solutions, reflecting Microsoft's commitment to driving innovation across its ecosystem. Here are the key takeaways from the event: Microsoft is dramatically increasing the incentives for ISVs and Partners to help sell though the Azure Marketplace. This include funds as well as new programs. More and more large organisations are moving to buying software through B2B Marketplaces AI security solutions will be a main focus for Microsoft and promoting them on the Azure MarketplaceMarketplace Exchange Rates for Multi-Year deals with Annual Payments
If a UK customer buys our product through the Marketplace for 3 years with annual payments, which exchange rate will be used for years 2 and 3? For year 2 and 3 will the exchange rate from the initial purchase be used? Will the exchange rate be recalculated for year 2? justinroyal I was also under the impression that the 'Preferred Solution' badge was no longer being used. Our solution had this badge and then it was removed and replaced with the 'Azure Benefit Eligible' badge. But I am still seeing solution in the marketplace with this badge: Is there any way to get this back on our offering? Thanks.812Views0likes0CommentsWhat happens if a customer wants to cancel their subscription
Scenario: We create a private offer for a customer that is for 3 years with payments every year (annual payment terms). The customer accepts and subscribes to the offer. Then, before the start of the second year, they want to cancel. What is the process for this? Thanks, JonathanRe: Best practice for selling through the Marketplace under different company entities
Trying my luck with this topic again. I am sure there is an easy way to have multiple offers based on geographic locations. The main issue is we need to control which bank accounts are getting the payment transfers based on the territory in which the Private Offer was bought. Does anyone have any experience selling in multiple territories with multiple bank accounts (tax profiles)?336Views0likes0CommentsTimeline for MACC recognition
Hello All, We have a customer that wants to purchase our solution through the Marketplace. The customer has a MACC that they need to meet by the 30th of April. Does anyone know how long Microsoft takes to process the purchase so that it will count towards the MACC? What is the lead time in this case? The issue is that they will not buy the product if it will not count against their MACC. Thanks again for the help.SolvedChanges to IP Co-Sell Process
Not sure if this is the right forum but i will try my luck. In the last few months we have seen a major change in the way IP Co-Sell deals are processed. In the past we were connected directly to sellers once the deal was accepted and now we have to go through a new process where we first have to work with an outsourcing company before the deal is accepted. This new process takes weeks and is causing problems with our ability to co-sell with Microsoft. Is anyone else seeing this change?1.2KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Best practice for selling through the Marketplace under different company entities
Thank you @Justinroyal. The article however does not talk about the ability to publish marketplace offers under various accounts/levels and have the payment be connected to those accounts. Thanks.501Views1like0CommentsBest practice for selling through the Marketplace under different company entities
We have several legal entities in our company and each has a separate bank account (tax profile as well). If a customer in North America buys our product through the Marketplace, we would like Microsoft to transfer the money to our North America bank account. And if a customer in Europe buys our product through the Marketplace we would like Microsoft to transfer the funds to the relevant bank. From what I know, each publisher in Marketplace can only be connected to one tax profile (and therefore one bank). What is the best practice for having multiple banks? Is it to create a new publisher and new offer for every entity? Thanks.647Views0likes3CommentsPrivate Offer Pre-Check Tool
I have a customer that ran the Private Offer eligibility checker and got back a result that i have never seen before. In the "Can Deploy Private Offers" colum it says: Not enough information Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions? Thanks, JonathanSolved632Views1like2CommentsCSP and MPO
Can a CSP Partner of Microsoft also use the MPO Program? We dont want to use CSP Private Offers for 2 reasons: 1. The pricing has to be a percentage of our public pricing 2. The customer will not be able to use their MACC So we would like to issue a MPO Private offer to a reseller that is currently a CSP but has not joined the MPO program. Is this possible?Solved
