Hi Exchange experts I have an issue with searching the audit logs with the mailboxes on Exchange Online. I have a mailbox on Exchange Online. The properties of that mailbox are as follows AuditEnabled: True AuditLogAgeLimit : 90.00:00:00 AuditAdmin : {Update, MoveToDeletedItems, SoftDelete, HardDelete...} AuditDelegate : {Update, MoveToDeletedItems, SoftDelete, HardDelete...} AuditOwner : {Update, MoveToDeletedItems, SoftDelete, HardDelete...} DefaultAuditSet : {Admin, Delegate, Owner} I have conduted the changes on this maibox such as: changed the Send as permission, changed the Send on behafl, delegated another user on this mailbox. A few days later I used the Audit feature from security.microsoft.com portal to search the log for above activities with this maibox but I could not find any entries log that I did a few days ago. The options that I made when searching for mailbox logs Date time range: selected the time period in which I made the change Activities - friendly names: selected all activities on Exchange maibox activities Activities - operation name: blank Record types: blank Search name: blank User: Selected user that has a mailbox I have changed. Also, when I executed the syntax with Exchange PowerShell it doesn't show the change history that I want to see. Hi TAE_YOUN_ANN Thanks for your reply But I'm still hesitant about Microsoft's article, they recommend keeping Exchange Server as it relates to the atributes which only mannage by Exchange Server https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/decommission-on-premises-exchange821Views0likes1CommentRe: Looking for a best practice for using Active Directory sync users to M365 without Exchange Server
Hi TAE_YOUN_ANN 1. The accounts have been created in AD and synced to M365. Before I used Exchange Server to manage mailboxes for those accounts. After I have migrated those mailboxes to Exchange Online, it means we are running a Hybrid Environment. 2. Hi Tae My mail flow already routed to Exchane Online, I tried shut down the Exchange Online and the result when user was syncing to M365 from Active Directory it have an mailbox with domain ****@onmicrosoft.com instead of my organization's domain name. Because there are attributes are managed by Exchange On-Premise882Views0likes5CommentsLooking for a best practice for using Active Directory sync users to M365 without Exchange Server
Dear Exchange Team I'm looking for a best practice for my organization about using both Active Directory and M365 We have a Domain Controller on-premise installed Azure AD Connector to sync all accounts on-premise to M365. Besides, we have an Exchange Server 2013 installed Hybrid Configuration Wizard (HCW) to migrate all mailboxes from on-premise to Exchange Online. This is complete. For now, I would like to decommission the Exchange 2013 completely. As current I have to maintain the Exchange Server with 1.5 TB its database, this is a waste of resource and it's a lot of effort to maintain both environments like that. I'm still using Active Directory to synchronize users to M365 and then creating mailboxes for them in M365. However, after reading many articles on the subject, I still haven't found a way to create on-premises accounts for new employees, synchronize those accounts to M365, and then create mailboxes for them from Exchange Online. Is there a solution for this case? Thank in advanced!Solved978Views0likes8CommentsM365 Defender For Business - Web content fiftering work not really accurately
Dear Microsoft experts I'm getting an issue with Web content filter on M365 Defender for Business. I have created a web content filter to block flowing categories: Adult content, High bandwidth, Legal liability. But on the workstations that installed Defender turned on network protection as well as SmartScreen can still access the websites that belong to the above categories. Only a few websites are blocked, but the number of websites that can be accessed is more. Does anyone know what specific sites the Defender can block and which sites can't be blocked? Regards, Parker
