Audience targeting not working
Hi, I have a SharePoint comms site using SharePoint online. I have a Power Automate flow that runs behind the site so that when I post news to the site, a flow is triggered that sends an email to a target audience group(s) that appear in a list on the SharePoint site. This was working well until I recently changed some of the audience group names (to reflect changes in the business). Now, my flow no longer works as it is looking for groups that have now changed. I've updated the MS365 group names and although they do show when I try to edit the audience from the page details (see image), when I update the page, the audience has reverted back to it's previous iteration. Please can someone advise why this is happening and how to encourage the SharePoint site to accept the new audience names?593Views0likes0CommentsRe: Audience targeting is not working at all
ganeshsanapwhen you say it may take some time to see any changes to audience targeting take affect - how long should it take? Only I have a sharepoint communications site and I have a sharepoint list of audiences in the back of the site - I've recently changed the name of one of the audience groups and although I can find the name when typing it into the audience field, when I republish, the name changes back to the original version. Hi all, I have activated the SharePoint Viewers in Site Features, and although I can now see views of individual Site Pages, it only shows me the most recent 25 viewers, even though my page has over 120 viewers. Hi, I am looking to create a bespoke newsletter to send to colleagues within my company from my SharePoint site - not the digest that can be emailed direct from the SharePoint site, but one that I can create with my company branding and promote an event along with the news posts. I like the digest option, but want to do more with it. I still want to keep the article thumbnail, title, and description, but to also add a branded header and space to add some text and a promotional banner that is clickable perhaps. Are there any simple options (maybe Power Automate) that can help me achieve this? The proposed newsletter would be sent to circa 10000 employees on a weekly basis. Hi all, Facing an issue when sending a .ics calendar file via a Power Automate flow to users who fill in an MS Form. The email sends, but the attached .ics file, when opened, brings up the following Microsoft Oultook pop-up: Clicking "Open as New" displays another pop-up to say "Operation failed" and clicking "Import" opens the calendar, but doesn't open for any particular date. Usually, when I send a similar .ics file attachment, users simply open the attachment and click to Accept etc, but this is no longer happening. HiRob_Elliott, The trigger I'm using iswhen an item is created or modified(below) There are also a couple of conditions we've introduced, such as checking if the item is already published: AND Checking that page details contains aFront Door ID(from our front door for communications requests) and thatSend requestor notificationandSend audience notification are set to "Yes" and that thePromoted stateis at "2". It's this promoted state which I think is tripping me up as until the scheduled article is published, it appears as "1" so the flow runs and fails because all the other conditions (front door ID, requestor and audience notifications) are correct, except the promoted state which at the time the flow runs, is set to "1" until the item is published, when it changes to "2". But at that time the flow has already ran and doesn't run again. Any ideas would be appreciated. ThanksSending an email via Power Automate when a news post is created
Hi all, Having some trouble with an existing Power Automate flow. The flow is an automated cloud flow which sends an email to a specific group of users from a SharePoint list when a new news post has been posted for their attention on my SharePoint communications site. The flow runs perfectly fine when I create a news post and post this straight away, but the flow does not trigger when I schedule a new post to be posted at a later time or date. I believe this is due to the “promoted state” of the news post but looking for some help please. Thanks RichardSharePoint online news posts
I have a SharePoint online Communications site and when I create news posts I want to be able to flag them as New on the home page, and also flag them as Mandatory or Must Read - with a button in the template for the viewer to click to prove they have read and understood the content. I used to be able to do this via SharePoint Designer for an old SharePoint 2013 site but cannot seem to replicate this on SharePoint online. Any help would be great.1.2KViews0likes2Comments
