Re: M365 mobile app and Copilot
Copilot in the Microsoft 365 Mobile App is identical to the experience that you would get when navigating to https://copilot.microsoft.com. When you have a Copilot for Microsoft 365 license, you would have the option to either select Work vs Web for if you want to retrieve data sources only from the Internet (Web), or your M365 tenant resources such as Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc. (Work) When people access the Copilot option from within the Microsoft 365 app, they have authenticated with their EntraID therefore the interaction is covered under the Commerical Data Protection. I'm not sure about further disabling that feature within the Microsoft 365 app. You wouldn't have Copilot in the Outlook app unless that user has a license. Does that help some?942Views0likes1CommentRe: Copilot unable to change word document content?
Aussie_guy00000, oh apologies. I should have included that you're correct. I'm not seeing anything on the roadmap from a content formatting perspective yet, either. I just wanted you to know that there is somewhat of a published roadmap for what to expect for Copilot. I agree that some of the intended use cases, like data formatting or transforming documents, are not there yet. I find myself getting a lot of value from using Copilot to ideate & brainstorm around a particular topic. The meeting summarization is also very helpful and saves time. The price point to value might still not be all the way there just yet, but I do find areas where it's helpful. I'm sorry your experience is lacking thus far, that's frustrating.2.8KViews0likes1CommentRe: How to limit the CoPilot scope in the tenant resources.
FabrizioDegni so what I might suggest instead of trying to limit what Copilot can return from a scope perspective, you may be able to remediate some of your oversharing issues. While that might sound a bit complicated or perhaps unmanageable, many third parties have products in this space to help streamline it. If you take a look at what we have at AvePoint - we have our Control Suite of tools that would allow you to scan Sites/Teams for sensitive information, help to identify potential exposure levels, and then build a plan to remediate. This will take some input/assistance by the business since they are the domain experts. Taking Copilot out of the picture for a moment - oversharing is a risk already, it's just being illuminated by Copilot. Let me know if you want to connect with any of our folks in EMEA for a demo of our Control Suite. Good luck!1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: How to limit the CoPilot scope in the tenant resources.
There's really no good way of doing this with Copilot for Microsoft 365, even Copilot for Sales is focused on Teams Meetings and then integration with Outlook/Exchange. The question I would rather pose is, why are you attempting to limit Copilot's scope to just Exchange? Are you concerned with oversharing & sensitive data?1.1KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Copilot unable to change word document content?
Yes, the features of Copilot formatting content within Microsoft Word are not there just yet. I know it's not what you're hoping for, but here is the Roadmap for Copilot in Microsoft Word. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Microsoft%20Copilot%20(Microsoft%20365)&searchterms=Word#owRoadmapMainContent3KViews1like3CommentsRe: ASPX extension is getting mangled
So the d=[value] parameter is something I would expect to see if you're sharing the URL. It's providing instructions to open the link (technically the file) in the browser. Otherwise, a behavior could attempt to download the file. If you do just "Copy Link" vs "Share" I wonder if that will provide you with the URL without the additional query parameter. n the sharing URL will enable us to open the document in Office Online in a browser.352Views0likes1CommentRe: Can admin block specific words on users who use copilot?
So you can't configure this in Copilot for Microsoft 365. The only thing you could do is monitor after the fact. The high-level approach would be creating a keyword dictionary and a DLP policy that would be targeted at a group of users. It's a lot of configuration for a non-stopping action. It's only monitor and report: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/sit-create-a-keyword-dictionary?tabs=purview This415Views0likes0CommentsRe: Stop SharePoint document versioning
You can turn off versioning at the library level also using PNP Powershell: # Connect to the SharePoint site Connect-PnPOnline -Url "https://jaredisawesome.sharepoint.com/sites/YourSiteHere/" -UseWebLogin # Disable versioning for the specific document library Set-PnPList -Identity "Shared Documents" -EnableVersioning $false307Views0likes0CommentsRe: Is there a way to get Copilot to look through a PDF file in a public website and summarise it?
ZainabJae it looks like part of the problem is related to the protections that VW put on that particular PDF document. Notice, I downloaded the PDF and am attempting to use Copilot within the browser and it displays an access denied error message.3.1KViews1like1CommentRe: Is it possible to show the "All Documents" view in a SharePoint Library only to admins
I think it's more of a security by-obscurity situation but you could potentially just hide the view using PNP PowerShell: Connect-PnPOnline -Url <SiteUrl> -Credentials (Get-Credential) $list = Get-PnPList -Identity "<ListName>" $view = $list.Views.GetByName("<ViewName>") $view.Hidden = $true $view.Update() -- Then, for your admins, you can include a link in the navigation to the URL for the view (that's hidden) and use audience targeting to share the URL with them. That should technically enable what you're looking for. But remember, if a user has that URL they would be able to get to it.318Views0likes0CommentsRe: Stop SharePoint document versioning
Hi Arif, I believe you can only accomplish this via PowerShell using the PNP Powershell library. The command you're looking for is Remove-PnPFileVersion. Please see here for the parameters you would use: https://pnp.github.io/powershell/cmdlets/Remove-PnPFileVersion.html Best regards, -Jared454Views0likes1CommentRe: Cutomize Sharepoint Online Branding

Curious what happens when you try to authenticate with Office 365 - what's the error message? I'm leaning towards it being something with your IT Department and how they manage "Trusted Sites". If it works on a personal laptop it definitely feels like an Internet Explorer browser security change that has happened.1.3KViews0likes0Comments
