Re: Small issue with retention policies
Yep, agree with Vasil. As Nuno asked, is Archive enabled for the user? If Archive isn't enabled, then the retention tag will not work. User mailbox has to have an Exchange Online Plan 2 license (included with E3 and E5) or Exchange Online Plan 1 with Online Archiving add-on license added in order to enable online archiving.6.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Multi Org Forest - Office 365 Migration
Following KB article discusses how you can utilize SMTP matching with AD Sync. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2641663/how-to-use-smtp-matching-to-match-on-premises-user-accounts-to-office-365-user-accounts-for-directory-synchronization3.8KViews1like0CommentsRe: Multi Org Forest - Office 365 Migration
Hi Akhtar, If your users' UPNs and email addresses won't change during the AD forest migration, I believe the option 1 would be the most easiest. First let AD accounts in forest B to be synced to O365 and migrate your mailboxes as well. Then properly disconnect the AD sync. Perform the AD forest migration and deploy AD sync on new forest. AAD Connect tool will do a soft-match with cloud users during the synchronization process (assuming UPN / email address hasn't changed) and bind them with the corresponding AD account in forest A.3.8KViews1like2CommentsRe: Password policy changes for Cloud IDs
As @Jamie mentioned, you would need to implement AD FS and manage account lockout policies from on-premises AD. When an administrator chooses Cloud Identity model, he doesn't have much control over the features other than for few stuff as password expiration, etc. :)2.5KViews1like0CommentsRe: Outlook prompts for password using ADFS 3.0
It should be the expected behavior in hybrid setup. Autodiscover will and should point to your on-premises Exchange setup. This article here talks about the autodiscover lookup process in detail: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/rmilne/2015/04/29/office-365-autodiscover-lookup-process/37KViews0likes1CommentRe: Anyone made the switch from Google Apps to Office 365?
Hey jcgonzalezmartin I did a Google Apps to Office 365 migration last year and for Google Drive to OneDrive for Business migration we were received the Fast Track Migration support. They sent a few data gathering tools for us to run in our environment, and requested to create some changes in Google Apps, then they did a brilliant job with the migration and in just 2 days ~350 users were using OneDrive for Business.7.7KViews0likes0Comments
