Calendar category color for appointment different on phone than web
A user opened a ticket with IT (me) because an appointment in a room mailbox calendar is a different color when viewing the calendar in OWA than when he views the calendar in the Outlook App on his phone. He wants us to fix this. This calendar has numerous categories and colors set up to associate appointments with employees (each employee has a color). The item in question should show up as his color but on his phone it shows up as another color. Obviously I can't fix that but I'm wondering what could cause this and is there anything that can be done to correct it?1KViews0likes1CommentOutlook App on phone not showing colors for categories
Can someone tell me if the Outlook phone app is capable of displaying the colors set up for categories in the calendar? We have numerous teams using resource calendars and color coding the appointments with a different color for each person. They are complaining that they don't see the colors in the Outlook App on their phone. I tested this on my Android phone and don't see any colors. The user that submitted the complaint has an iPhone. I am having difficulty finding out from googling whether this feature is available in the Outlook phone app or not because the results just keep coming up for Outlook not the Outlook phone app. And if it is available, is it available for both Android & iOS or only one of those?156KViews7likes32CommentsContact removed from contact list still getting emails to list
We use Office 365 to host our email. A user who uses OWA has set up her own contact lists in her contacts. The members of the lists are from her contact list since they are outside email addresses, not members of our organization. She removed a member from the list and when you look at the list, they are not shown. But when she creates an email to the list, that removed contact is still in the list of people who are being emailed. I tried clearing her browser cache, as that sometimes helps O365 issues and that did not help. So then I tried removing the list from her memorized (auto complete) addresses in OWA and that did not help either. And she has logged out and back in to Office 365 and that did not help either. When I googled this problem, the only thing I came up with was a posting from 7 years ago where someone using Outlook online had this issue and the answer from Microsoft was to delete and re-create the list. That doesn't really seem like a reasonable answer to me. What if the user has this problem with several lists? Or they need to remove a user again in the future? Is the only way to get a user out of a list to re-create the list? That's a crazy solution. Any ideas as to how to fix this other than re-creating the list?1.6KViews0likes0CommentsEmail signature not appearing consistently in OWA
We have a user that has his signature set up properly in OWA but it is not consistently being added to new messages that he creates. I tried clearing his browser cache and that did not fix the problem. I haven't had him try it yet in another browser as I don't want him to have to change his default browser just for this. I believe he's using Chrome as his default. Any ideas as to what could cause this? It seems to be intermittent, which makes it hard to troubleshoot.720Views0likes0CommentsRe: Calendar category color for appointment different on phone than web
I just realized the user is using Outlook in a web browser not the Outlook App on his phone. But he is seeing different colors for one of the appointments than everyone else is seeing. The only thing I can think to try is to clear the browser cache. Any other ideas?903Views0likes0CommentsRe: Outlook: Permanent prompts to re-enter passwords
temuco We had a similar problem where Outlook would keep popping up and asking for the user's password. I'm not sure if that's the same issue as you are describing. But we were able to fix it with the following registry changes: reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\AutoDiscover /t REG_DWORD /v ExcludeExplicitO365Endpoint /d 1 reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity /v DisableADALatopWAMOverride /t reg_dword /d 1 /f If the above didn't fix it then we would do a full repair of Office and that would resolve it.6.1KViews0likes0CommentsKaspersky reports Edge 78.0.268.1 as Trojan
We use Kaspersky antivirus in our organization. It suddenly popped up today saying I had a Trojan. When I looked thru the Kaspersky logs for my PC, I saw it uninstall Edge Dev 78.0.268.1 back to 78.0.262.0. So it appears that Kaspersky thinks Edge 78.0.268.1 is a trojan.1.3KViews0likes6CommentsGroups header in Outlook is missing
In my Outlook 2016, there is a Groups heading on the left and my O365 groups are listed under that. We wanted to show a user how to access her O365 Groups in Outlook but there is no Groups heading in her Outlook. Why is it missing and how do we turn it on? She can view her groups in OWA but I wanted to know why it's not showing in her Outlook desktop application. We use O365 for email and do not have any Exchange on premises.2.7KViews0likes2Comments
