Difficulty loading Teams Channels folders in SharePoint
During the last week, I've had users struggle to access Teams channel folders from SharePoint for web. They can navigate into the Document library, but when they click on the Teams channel folder, it hangs and fails to load. Currently, they are using a workaround to access the Teams channel directly and click 'open in SharePoint.' I've also had issues with the files tab in the same Teams channels loading. I get an error message that the page could not be loaded.157Views0likes2CommentsAutoplay will not turn off
I have a use case where we have to embed streams videos in wordpress and other sites. When I embed in a SharePoint site, everything is fine, autoplay is turned off like it should be. When we embed in Wordpress or other sites, the videos automatically play. Is this something others are experiencing? I'm trying to figure out if it's a site issue, user settings issue or stream issue and when I investigate I find very little to eliminate any of those options.369Views0likes0CommentsRe: Ways to generate transcripts for videos over 4GB
Thank you for the reply! It's hard for us to asses all videos right now (we're knee deep into streams migration) however so far we've had 20 new videos in the last month that have exceeded 1GB. We're a school and these videos are often demonstrations for assignments and classes so they need to be high quality and have transcriptions to accommodate students with disabilities. I think for us this is going to be a pretty big issue just because of the nature of the videos.2.4KViews0likes6CommentsRe-assigning Videos to the Proper Containers
I don't know if I'm just suffering from documentation overload or what. Is there no way to re-assign videos into containers? I'm spending hours inventorying videos to re-assign them into the containers they should be in only to find when I'm looking for how I do that in the migration tool it's not there?SolvedRe: Ways to generate transcripts for videos over 4GB
More specifics: So this isn't a recording, it's an uploaded video to a SharePoint site that is over 4 gigs. I'm not looking for extra features, just for it to generate a transcript for the video. I did end up coming up with a temp solution: re-save the file as low res, upload it to a dev sharepoint site, have it generate the transcript then download that transcript and apply it to the origional video. I'm assuming this restriction is a hangover from something else? It would be cool to know if this restriction is going to be removed or if there is a setting somewhere I'm missing. karen_dredske3KViews0likes8CommentsWays to generate transcripts for videos over 4GB
Hi MS Community; Streams for sharepoint won't generate transcripts for videos over 4 gigs. We're required to have transcripts for all videos for accessibility since we're a school. Is there an alternative to generate transcripts that the team can use? We don't have the time or resources to manually generate a transcript. I used teams to capture the text for one video, but I've got to manually create the markers etc.Re: Uploaded many videos, bulk generate transcripts?
So far I haven't found a setting for it. My team is going in individually and generating transcripts for each video. Adam_Padron_CLI I would really like to put in my vote for this to be automatically generated when videos are uploaded.1.2KViews0likes1CommentStreams cutoff date descrepancies
Hi All, I'm really confused, a few customer connections meetings ago I was shared the following dates in chat: October 30, 2023 - No new videos can be uploaded to Stream (Classic) unless https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/stream/streamnew/migration-settings#delay-upload-block-setting. This can be delayed until January 30, 2024. January 30, 2024 - No new videos can be uploaded to Stream (Classic) for any customers. March 30, 2024 - Users no longer able to access or use Stream (Classic) unless https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/stream/streamnew/migration-settings#delay-stream-disabled-setting. This change can be delayed until July 30, 2024. July 30, 2024 - Stream (Classic) is fully retired & automatically disabled Users & admins no longer able to access or use Stream (Classic) Any remaining content in Stream (Classic) that wasn't migrated will be deleted February 15, 2025 - Stream (Classic) links and embed codes will no longer redirect to the migrated videos in OneDrive & SharePoint And now those dates don't seem to be the right dates? Can I get some clarity as to when these dates changed because our team is now going to struggle to meet this deadline.Re: Adding new Hub sites will not get reflected inside the existing "Associated Hubs" & "Associated Chil
"Navigational links to associated hubs are not automatically updated when there are changes to hub associations in the SharePoint admin center." - Associate a SharePoint hub site to another hub to connect search experiences. I'm really confused as to what the intended use of this feature is. If it's the same as adding a link, and it doesn't add associated hub sites automatically, what is the point of having it as an option?2.8KViews0likes1CommentUser has locked a page for editing for months. Admin can't override the lock.
Just a note: I'm coming onto this site as a new admin. I don't know how these user accounts or permissions were set up beforehand. I have a SharePoint home page that is locked for editing by an account. We can't have the user publish or release the edit because it's an old defunct account. It's been removed from SharePoint permissions yet it's still locked for editing by this person. She's tried logging in to all her browsers to make sure there's no lingering instances of the account logged in and no result. I can't edit the page until this lock is cleared. I've tried: Deleting the page - SharePoint won't allow me to Renaming the page - Again, SharePoint won't allow this Is there any way I can release this lock without having to use powershell?1.2KViews0likes0Comments
