Re: Whenever login into the office applications different OTP needs to be applied Outlook and teams
It is because Microsoft Teams got this another Application separate from the SAAS apart from the one inside the outlook. To make it sure that the same account holder opens the Microsoft Teams another OTP must be sent. That was just my analysis(",) because I also encountered such and at first it made me annoyed thinking that we go downgrade by this but actually it is part of ZERO TRUST access.328Views0likes0CommentsPASSKEYS being bypass or ignored by Windows
Admin: Good day. To anyone or anybody who has knowledge about this. I used passkeys in my personal laptop WINDOWS 11 it worked really great then my device needed to change its BIOS. It stayed in the repair shop for almost 3 months (odd, right? (November 2023-February 2024) Now I am using it again and it turned out its now under WINDOWS 10. Again, I set up passkeys in all my accounts to avoid the hassle of logging in again and again since I am the only one using it but then I noticed a strange activity. Passkeys aren't working right in some of my accounts from different webpages. Could it be that passkeys will work just right and excellent in our Digital Windows 11 over the WINDOWS 10? Pauline A. Harald_Wallus I'm not an expert either about how hackers do things in attacking individual accounts, but I know and understand some stuff and continuously learning about it as far as I can understand and do a lot of research. For sure Local IT Support team knows as to how many log in attempts, web pages opened and so on and so forth. A lot of information that their end user do can be monitored but what they can't as to a certain limitation of controlling a system like this (online/cyber threats occur at any time at any day) These confidential information can be used and sold maliciously. So what can they do about this? just thinking bout it for Im sure they wont just give one account to an individual who is naive or ignorant in using it so to speak.5KViews0likes0CommentsRe: OTP
I informed them already. If this is phishing then this is real time phishing. They know how to attack at the exact time when an individual will open the account on a certain device. I received a form of phishing via email, that one was very obvious. Reading the content and checking on the details of the link from which the email came from, I immediately report it the concerned institution. With this one I was tricked perhaps coz of my busy day to day routine in my job. thanks by the way for the reply. I will study about your suggestion for me to better understand.5.1KViews0likes2CommentsOTP
Hi I just wanted to share this thing. I mean we all are aware that passwords are lame. It can be easily just hacked by a malicious individual. Then came the one time pin. We felt secure by this. Either by our recovery email or on our registered mobile number. Then we get comfortable doing almost everything of our transactions online. Relative to using Microsoft 365 as provided by our office org. in which we are really handling confidential information. I already reported this to I.T. team or our org. They replied by saying ,"Did you try it?" I was thinking were they(local I.T team) also curious about this but nah, I don't think my org will allow such curiosity to play along when our work handle confidential information, video recordings and meetings. It happened several times. Just a while ago, I received this. You can tell the difference. Both works, but what I've noticed from the second picture as I've open my email it route me to "my account is at risk" so I immediately signed out. I'm gonna changed my password. I'm thinking of this. I don't know but I just wanted to share this. Lovelots guys, PaulineSolved5.6KViews0likes6CommentsVerification (HOTSPOT)
HI! Received another OTP (one time pin) from a strange sender. Like what is HOTSPOT? The first one that I encountered was from INFOCOM, now it's HOTSPOT. Did not try both at least to be safe. I try not to log in when OTP comes from these senders. Strange. I mean what could be the purpose.711Views0likes0Comments- 1.3KViews0likes0Comments
Moving message from inbox to archive
Hi , Why is it that my office cant moved message from my "inbox" to my "archive". I'm talking about my main account coz we are provided with a shared email with my workmates. I'm referring to my main account. I've done it several times for me to check if it was just a slow internet connection that causing the delay. However, it turned out that my messages aren't in the "archive" as to how may times I've checked it over and over again. First time to encounter such an error. What could be the reason? Was the IT Department in our organization can control such an option? Was the Microsoft Office 365 account "inbox" messages been programmed to "archive" messages automatically as soon as they reached time limit(depends on the days/months it was stored in the inbox) and no other new inbox messages can be moved to "archive" because the end user just wanted to. We just used this 365 account recently provided by our org. and things inside are pretty much different(in fact impressive ) from other servers but there are lots of things to be discovered and learn from. can this be controlled by the org I'm working on. I mean I'm just handling one (1) account can this disrupt the whole org if I try to change that? but for sure IT dept. controlled everything and for sure I will be needing to ask permission.. or can this change be applied only on my device or in my user account. I'm really curious..1.3KViews0likes0CommentsStrange and Multiple Log
Hi I was provided with this account by February of 2022 by the organization I work for. then I been using devices with OS Windows 11. as I checked on the account settings I have multiple log to devices in which were unfamiliar plus the fact that its using OS Windows 10 Google is far accurate on this one, the devices I'm using are really the ones that showed as I checked on the privacy and settings for my (Gmail) account. However with this email there were log on devices in which I'm not familiar. The 3rd picture displays the multiple log to OS Windows 10 in which I did not do. The 1st and 2nd picture are my devices.618Views0likes0Comments
