Referencing an excel spreasheet
I appreciate all help on this issue, I have been struggling with a solution. I have a column of notes and I've updated these notes (via calculated column, in SharePoint) to bring me the concise value that needs to be presented - which is a name. I then need to reference this value with an excel table which is a roster. The issue is that the names (via calculated column) are not concise and I need to still locate them through my roster. This is a great example of when there is no issues: SharePoint value - Michael Pignatello Excel value - Michael Pignatello When I use this flow design: I am outputted a corresponding value from excel, then, from this I will update my SharePoint item. Example with issues: SharePoint value: Linda L. Brooks Excel value: Linda Brooks I am being brought back no value from excel as it cannot find a match Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you so much for your assistance.List Grouping
Hello! I truly appreciate all assistance I have a list that is grouping my division name and then status, but I cannot get the header columns to be hidden. Here is my view formatting JSON: { "$schema": "https://developer.microsoft.com/json-schemas/sp/v2/row-formatting.schema.json", "groupProps": { "hideFooter": false, "headerFormatter": { "elmType": "div", "style": { "flex-wrap": "wrap", "display": "flex", "box-sizing": "border-box", "padding": "4px 8px 5px 8px", "border-radius": "6px", "align-items": "center", "white-space": "nowrap", "overflow": "hidden", "margin": "1px 4px 4px 1px" }, "children": [ { "elmType": "div", "style": { "display": "flex", "flex-direction": "row", "justify-content": "center" }, "children": [ { "elmType": "div", "txtContent": "= @group.fieldData.displayValue", "style": { "padding": "5px 5px 5px 5px", "font-weight": "500", "color": "=if(@group.fieldData.displayValue == 'Business Cards', '#8B4513', if(@group.fieldData.displayValue == 'Name Badge', '#FF6F61', if(@group.fieldData.displayValue == 'General Supplies', '#9400D3', 'DefaultColor')))" } }, { "elmType": "div", "attributes": { "class": "=if(@group.fieldData.displayValue == 'Business Cards', 'ms-Icon--IDBadge', if(@group.fieldData.displayValue == 'Name Badge', 'ms-Icon--IDBadge', if(@group.fieldData.displayValue == 'General Supplies', 'ms-Icon--Box', '')))" }, "style": { "font-size": "16px", "padding-left": "5px" } } ] } ] } } } Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.629Views0likes4CommentsGallery View Formatting
Hello! I am having an issue with bringing in custom formatting to my SharePoint gallery view. As you can see, on my title column, I am applying font color/size/italicization; however, these changes are not coming over to the gallery view. I know these changes are not coming over because I have implemented custom formatting onto my metrics column to make the font size 30px. Is there any way to keep the advanced metric formatting and include the formatting for title that I mentioned from the first image? When I add my custom formatting from the title column onto my gallery layout "format view" screen, it doesn't include the adjustment I've made to the metric column, it just overrides with the new colors. Any help would be very appreciated as I've been trying continuously. Here is the custom formatting from my metrics column: { "$schema": "https://developer.microsoft.com/json-schemas/sp/v2/column-formatting.schema.json", "elmType": "div", "style": { "box-sizing": "border-box", "padding": "0 2px", "overflow": "hidden", "text-overflow": "ellipsis", "font-size": "30px" }, "attributes": { "class": { "operator": ":", "operands": [ { "operator": "!=", "operands": [ "[$Metric]", "0" ] }, "sp-field-fontSizeXLarge sp-field-bold", "" ] } }, "txtContent": "[$Metric]" }Solved2.1KViews0likes2CommentsRe: User to not be notified unless they are assigned an item
HelloSvenSieverding! I was able to implement your helpful advice, but ifthe assignee has not been assigned an item in the last 15 minutes it will still not send an email with the current condition. Moreover, currently no emails are sending. I am unable to find a solution without moving toward a different solution entirely. All help is truly appreciated.User to not be notified unless they are assigned an item
Thank you so much for all help and assistance as I am unable to create a part of the solution to my issue. My goal:Ensuring that a user is not notified unless they are assigned an item at least 15 minutes from the last time the flow was executed with them being the assignee Setup: Currently, I have aflow that's triggered when an item is changed in a SharePoint list. It gets the changed item and checks if the "PMAssigned" column has changed. If it has, it stops editing permissions for that item and grants access to the user assigned to the lead. If the time elapsed since the last notification is greater than 15 minutes and the user assigned to the lead has changed, it sends an email to the new user. The condition is slightly incorrect because it checks to see if the user assigned to the lead has changed since last time, but rather it needs to check if that user in the last15 minutes, has had the flow executed with them being the assignee. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.Combine different list items (from the same list) into single item
Good Afternoon!, I have a list in SharePoint which has multiple items, and I need the three newest items to be combined into a new item and then to delete those three. None of the columns have info that overlaps, so it should be relatively straightforward considering I don't need to combine text values. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.1.1KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Extract .png from person/group column
Hello, SvenSieverding The thing is that the email address will be different every time depending on the trigger. This flow is triggered by a Microsoft Forms. It retrieves the response details and user profile of the responder, and then uses the requestors' email to extract their profile from a SharePoint list. From this list, I extract their picture from a person/group column which contains the dynamic action for this picture link. Is this methodology still possible with this approach? Should I extract the email address from the link and set that as the variable, instead of a static same email in the variable? Thank you so much for your help.Extract .png from person/group column
Any help would be extremely helpful,I am unable to create a solution to this issue. I am looking to create a flyer generator. Users will be using their photo associated with my SharePoint employee list, but this is my issue: When I pull the dynamic action of a picture from a group/person column it displays a link: https://lnfcompanies.sharepoint.com/sites/SiteName/\\\\\\\\\\_layouts/15/UserPhoto.aspx?Size=L&AccountName=email address removed for privacy reasons, and once I go to this link it displays a new link: https://lnfcompanies.sharepoint.com/_vti_bin/afdcache.ashx/_userprofile/userphoto.jpg?_oat_=1694724778_b1f6f762a9b3e08a18b0e6972cb0631a3badaed82ab7210fae40e4f56cf71c1c&P1=1694707665&P2=-1205102505&P3=1&P4=pn%2bVpCQ6BCG1Wk9dlEGXck3%2bFhetPXcuGoPPchUnf79TdkZlEcxc8zKbKzg9Z9294lpey7DAWzuVwyCTfa0Ix364sqtgPyW5xdMP%2fA%2bPHFhIOPqELeYzb3MVcWaG26BZJqaTIi1JV%2bDaQKVkWe6jjQ%2bGieQ2R2RmWwlcLiuGcIfqLgL2HKdeHTqmcju5hjIMy5y4WG6BhaWK6ChF%2bmsmCqgMks%2fF2DpBbmf921oWEeypP9ujHY6cYQ%2bwOUZfH%2fMk29Z2dHV4lGxL%2bd5vaDHNjSQwlShFogedXk7G4JD%2bXVEd5WNh%2bDmfGBYmuMVeM%2fzokjoyEOt7Z5PkZ0QEP1RJXA%3d%3d&size=L&accountName=email address removed for privacy reasons&default=true The issue I am having is that I need to display an image in my "Populate a word template" action, but I need to add file contents of a JPG or PNG image as the value. The value should look like this: { "$content-type": "image/png", "$content": "iVBORw0KG...i/DhQmCC" } where the content is the base64 encoded image. How can I extract the image file from the redirected link, because the "Populate a word template" action requires a file and not a link. Thank you so much.SolvedRe: Sharepoint 365 - Adding clickable email to list
ganeshsanap That was helpful, thank you. In SharePoint column formatting, can you directly embed images in the email body using HTML content within a mailto link, or does The mailto link only supports plain text content and not support HTML formatting or embedded images?24KViews0likes2CommentsRe: SharePoint List - Concatenate multiple rows
Hellonimesht, "Does the Agent to Region mapping change frequently, or very rarely. I assume the regions might be assigned based on their base location and nearby regions so it might not change frequently. If the region assignment keeps on changing; then should this column display latest regions assigned or the one which was mapped when the particular lead was assigned?" Once the excel sheet data is uploaded, the leads' region will not change, so "one which was mapped when the particular lead was assigned"2.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: SharePoint List - Concatenate multiple rows
nimesht Within the list, it shows the lead, the agent assigned, and which region the lead is assigned to (choice column); moreover, I want to create a calculated column that will be next to the my agent assigned column that will display the name of the different region choices they are assigned to. That way if an agent is assigned to multiple, different, regions, it will display such (even if they are viewing only one of their leads).3.3KViews0likes5CommentsRe: SharePoint List - Concatenate multiple rows
Hello nimesht Thank you so much for reaching back to me, truly. Thedata is presented to me raw, quarterly, and the text is automatically case audited and uploaded through power automate into the list as needed 1. Agent are directly picked from the Active Directory (AAD) and not from a separate list. There email is given to me in excel and that is put into their person/group column 2. If an Agent A is assigned to Region VA and DC. In the excel sheet, they have a agent has a lead. The info is coming from the sheet? 3. This list is shared with the agents and only the rows assigned to them are visible. No, the list is shared with different people but everyone should have the ability to view the whole list and all columns. 4. You mentioned "if an agent is assigned to multiple, different, regions, it will display such (even if they are viewing only one of their leads)". So, ifAgent A is assigned to Region VA and DC, and is accessing this list, and for Lead with Region VA the column "Agent's Assigned Regions" would display "DC"; and forLead with Region DC the column would display "VA" Is this what you are trying to achieve? Yes, but the "Agent's Assigned Regions" column shoulddisplay "DC, VA" for both rows; therefore, no matter which lead you are looking at for the agent - you will see the information. In the data, each row is a lead with an agent assigned, and an assigned region. I want to be able to look at any row on the list and if I see that agent's name again I will know all the regions they have been assigned to.3.1KViews0likes2CommentsRe: SharePoint List - Concatenate multiple rows
Thank you so much for your assistance,SvenSieverding From excel, I am uploading data and one aspect of this data is the agent's profile; therefore, this solution isn't what I am looking for because when a user is selecting a lead they are looking to view information of the entire lead - not just agent region info. Within the list, it shows the lead, the agent assigned, and which region the lead is assigned to, so if an agent is assigned to multiple, different, regions, it will display such - in this new column (even if they are viewing only one of their leads).3.1KViews0likes0Comments
