SharePoint Online: Get notification when a document library is created?
Hi all, Not sure if this can be done via webhooks, but I "simply" want a notification containing the Site URL and library name when a SharePoint document library is created anywhere in our tenant. Anyone accomplish this? Cheers! Troy115Views0likes0CommentsPersistent bot in Copilot?
HI All, Wondering if there is a copilot bot interface that stays persistent? We have a guidance bot navigating users through a series of questions, and then providing a link to a site page at some points during the conversation. Is there a way to keep the bot persistent while allowing the user to view the page links (so it doesn't entirely leave copilot to view the link we've provided)? Hi All, Wondering if others are experiencing this over the past few days. We have multilingual navigation menus (Hub and Site) in SharePoint Online (French and English). Users have been able to go into their browser settings, change language from French to English and the navigation menus change accordingly. (and yes, clear browsing data to see the change in the hub menu). Now many users cannot change navigation language. They go into browser settings change the language with zero effect. Even the white base SharePoint page menu (New, Send To, Translation, Page Details etc) isn't changing. But it still works for some users. Really frustrating...but just wondering if anyone else has seen this behaviour? Cheers! TRoySolved3.6KViews0likes2CommentsSharing SharePoint permissions across multiple sites
Hi all, Reposting an old post and re-wording to see if anyone has any guidance/best practice. As an example, I have 5 sites in SharePoint online. I want to share identical Visitors, Members and Owners permissions across all 5 sites. In sharepoint 2013, we had site hierarchies, and subsites simply inherited permissions from it's parent. However, and the new SharePoint Online flat structure, there is no inheritance. Each site has it's own permissions, and I don't want admins having to update the permissions on 5 different sites everytime they want to add/remove a user.Solved5KViews0likes3CommentsUpdate Sensitivity labels for documents powershell?
Hi all, We just migrated sites from on prem to SPO. The old sites had a Security Classification column with our classification (for example, Proprietary and Public). We have sensitivity labels implemented in SPO, and now we'd like to set the sensitivity label for each document based on what is in the Security Classification column....then remove the old security classification column. Is there something like a powershell script to update/add a label for a document? Thanks! Troy5.3KViews0likes5CommentsSharePoint migrate from SP 2013 hierarchy to SharePoint Online Flat structure
Hey All, Just wondering what other people have done with this scenario: We're migrating site collections from SharePoint 2013 to SPO Modern. Microsoft guidance is to flatten the hierarchies. So, if I have a site collection with a hierarchy of say 10 sites....and those site inherit permissions in SharePoint 2013: When I go to flatten, each of these sites will become their own site collection...and no longer have that shared security they had in the hierarchy. How does that site security get centralized in SPO without an admin having to go to each site when wanting to add a user to the members group? Use AAD groups? It's important for our users to be able to view the membership of any group. Hope this makes sense, and TIA for any experience/guidance. Troy1.6KViews0likes2Comments
