Re: Using PSEXEC to test intunewin
Harm_Veenstra I got the sandbox environment working but how do you test .intunewin files in it? When i run the .intunewin file with sandbox, it opens a folder with the intunewin file as well as the original installer. How do I test the intunewin file?6.2KViews0likes3CommentsUsing PSEXEC to test intunewin
I am having trouble getting new win32 apps on Intune to install. I remember that in the past, I would test the intunewin package using PSEXEC before uploading. When I go to the page that had the old PSEXEC documentation, it seems like it got updated with a https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/fundamentals/intune-legacy-pc-client. Does anyone know how to test if the intunewin package will run properly using PSEXEC?6.8KViews0likes6CommentsHow can I deploy an app with custom selections?
When manually going through the installer, some apps will need certain options selected/de-selected. How can I do that through Intune's app deployment? I am only familiar with pushing out the apps with the default options (package the app and deploy with run command).1.4KViews0likes2CommentsIntune threat level definitions
On intune, there are several device policies referring to threat levels (secured, low, medium, high). Is there documentation on what each of those levels mean? Like what is considered a low level threat vs a high level one. The policy will be applied on personal devices and I don't want it to have a heavy impact for users everyday use while still maintaining acceptable device security.4.1KViews0likes1CommentDisabling pin while keeping windows hello enabled
We would like to keep the use of windows hello biometrics but instead of a pin, could I force the Microsoft account password? Due to some security requirements, devices are required to have a 14 alphanumeric password with special characters. This gets pretty annoying when we have our devices lock after a minute of inactivity which is why we keep windows hello enabled. If we have pin enabled, it would have to meet the password requirements of 14 characters yada yada. The problem with that would be confusing the end users by having multiple long passwords. Is there a way to have windows hello enabled but instead of the local pin, have the microsoft account password be used instead?3.3KViews0likes3CommentsDevice is marked non-compliant after implementing a password policy
I just created a windows 10 compliance policy with a password requirement and it is marking my device as non compliance even though the password is within the parameters. The exact policy causing the compliance issue is "password complexity". I currently have it set to alphanumeric with Upper/lowercase, numbers, and special character. I have made sure my password fits the parameters (password set for microsoft account which is used to log in). I also am using biometrics and pin. Does the policy require me to disable pin and biometrics and require password only?10KViews0likes5CommentsRe: How would I be able to remotely reset user passwords (mac and pc) if intune does not support?
When I select my windows devices, the password reset option is greyed out. The only devices where password reset through intune is supported are android devices ver 6.x or earlier, device owner android enterprise devices, and ios. everything else is not supported. If I am wrong, please provide documentation on how I can reset a PC's password through intune.19KViews0likes2CommentsHow would I be able to remotely reset user passwords (mac and pc) if intune does not support?
I know intune and azure only supports some versions of android and ios. We have both macs and win10 machines in use and was wondering about what methods we can use to remotely reset a laptops local password. All win10 pcs have the option to use biometric/pin and microsoft account password for login while the macs are using local accounts. Is there anyway admins are able to remotely reset/unlock users accounts on PCs and Macs?19KViews0likes4CommentsWhat exactly changes after changing a personal device to a corporate device? (MacOS)
I already changed ownership type from personal to corporate on a test macbook. After the switch, I noticed that screen savers are forced now and cannot be unchecked. This is with no policies applied yet. Is there documentation on what exactly changes after the switch? Don't want anything unexpected to break.3.6KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Is there a way I can see all activity in a shared calendar through an audit log or change log?
David_Petree The audit log I am looking at is in 365 admin -> compliance -> audit. Nothing related to calendar changes show up there. Did some tests by deleting/adding events. The calendar type does not matter as long as I can view changes/edits made on the calendar. It is currently a 365 calendar belonging to a test user account. so basically a personal shared calendar. Where would I find permissions to only allow users to delete their own events? The sharing permissions are either view or full edit.14KViews0likes0CommentsIs there a way I can see all activity in a shared calendar through an audit log or change log?
I am creating a vacation calendar that would allow all users to edit (add their own vacation/off days) and am worried that someone might accidentally delete someone else's vacation event. I want to have access to the logs to see who deleted the event if it ever happens. Where would I find that? Does it even exist? On the other hand, is there a way for me to set permissions so users can only edit their own content rather than a complete edit priv? Either a room calendar or shared mailbox? tried both briefly but havent been able to figure out how.16KViews1like3Comments
