adding acquired company to existing O365 Tenant
Our Company A (Hybrid AD) acquired Company B (Entra ID Only and Azure environment) with less than 50 users. We want the company B users to continue to use their domain with Company A 0365 environment but not migrate them to our AD. Company A uses Okta as IdP/SAML and we would also want Company B users to Okta for SAML as well. This is the first time I'm having to do this. Where do I start? We're AAD only shop and we had a first user request whose last name changed and their email changed address changed as well. We require email address as the username login. We can see the email address changed under the Accounts sections of the settings but when they try to login to their laptop with the new email address, it says username or password is invalid and they can still login with the old email address? We use Okta as our SSO and user can login to Okta with the new email address as well as Outlook with the new email. We have a hybrid Exchange environment and about 300 Distribution lists that are local and I would like to migrate these to Office 365 Distribution lists. Does anyone have a script that can pull members of all local distribution lists with their email addresses? If I have this, I can then delete all these DL's locally and upload the csv via powershell. The current script I have, it does not extract members' email addresses, it only extracts their first names & and last names. This doesn't work when I try to upload the CSV via Powershell. Is there an easy way to check if a user sent emails to external emails or shared onedrive links via email or check for any shady activity? We'd like to make sure that a user who's no longer with the company, didn't share any of the company info with anyone. I'm looking to find office365 users whose primary SMTP is our domain.com that are not part of certain office365 distribution lists we have.
