Re: How to enable 'Never Combine taskbar buttons'. Windows 11 ?
pelisplus - We are talking about Win 11 here. This feature and functionality is not in win 11. That said, I notice as well your email is a carbon copy of a similar one posted a few times in threads like this, and I’m guessing from the way the link is written at the end this is actually a phishing post to try and get people to click the dodgy link.13KViews2likes7CommentsRe: How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
That’s not right. If your logic was how it worked, then what shipped day one would be final. MS add new features all the time, and they have already added back in other features from win 10 that were missing. There is nothing stopping them adding the feature back in if they chose two, it’s purely a design design, not technical.2.7KViews4likes2CommentsRe: How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
@ Andrzej1 Because you can move to a chrome book and use all the google tools to replace windows completely. I’m now starting to consider MacOS as well if windows is not going to add basic features. Failure to listen to users will reduce market share and use.3KViews3likes2CommentsRe: How to enable 'Never Combine taskbar buttons'. Windows 11 ?
In case not seen, there is an even longer list of unhappy people about this missing key feature here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-insider-program/how-to-let-windows-11-quot-never-combine-taskbar-buttons-quot/m-p/3728677/highlight/false#M204606.2KViews2likes1CommentRe: How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
Deletedand that is no surprise as its a needed features as all these threads and comments show. This thread is longer than the other one you linked to, so that alone would seem to justify keeping this one open so MS can fully appreciate the range and number of comments. I suspect some people like the threads closed so it looks like there is no issue, when clearly there is. If I had a product I would kill for this feedback. I also take your reply to confirm you don; t know for certain that the feature is not on a backlog somewhere.3.3KViews4likes1CommentRe: How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
I think we all need to start raising the profile of the issue. No one at MS reads this blog. For example, start and posting about it on twitter with a link to this page and tag the MS people leading in this space (@panos_panay, @christinakoehn, @Windows). If anyone has their emails share that and start mailing them direct. Nothing will change otherwise. If people look at this post it has thousands of views and 40 odd pages of comments. That’s a lot of 'engagement' to just ignore.2.4KViews3likes2Comments
