Entra Connect AutoUpdate Issues
Hi, We're using the latest version of Entra Connect. Is it common for it to do an Auto Update check every night? Lately we have got an alert that the sync service is down and then it recovers. The emails are 30 mins apart which I think is the default check time? It seems to do an AutoUpdate check and then the sync service will briefly stop, we get these errors and then it recovers. Azure AD Connect Upgrade - 904 Password Reset Services - 31034 It does seem to fix itself so more of an annoyance, but still curious if it is meant to check every night?Solved18Views0likes2CommentsOffice 365 API - Subscription
Hi, We have been using the Office 365 API to send events to our SIEM for a number of months. Since Monday we have received the following error: AF20023","message":"The subscription was disabled I've looked at "https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/office-365-management-api/troubleshooting-the-office-365-management-activity-api#enable-unified-audit-logging-in-office-365" but even if I try and start a subscription, it will still return that it is disabled? Not entirely sure what else I can check.226Views0likes1CommentMeeting Recording and Transcription - CoPilot
A slight rant but I find it really frustrating that the standard meeting transcription and recording settings are influenced by the new(ish) "Allow CoPilot" feature with its settings. They really should be two settings, standard transcript and recording and Allow CoPilot which don't overlap.391Views0likes1CommentWindows Updates and Defender Updates on Azure VM
Hi all, We want to build a locked down Azure VM with no public IP address. Is it possible for this VM to still get updates and report without a public IP address. Or is it a case that we really need a public IP address and then a firewall for this to be secure?Solved629Views1like2CommentsRenew
Hi all, We purchased some licenses from one vendor last year which are due to expire in a few days. We have since renewed our licenses with a different vendor, however I can see the following from the "old license". The subscription says "On, renews on 13/7/2024". Does this mean it will auto-renew on the 13th? Previously it would just have expired on the 13th.290Views0likes1CommentDeleted Users
Hi all, We have E5 Compliance licenses. I've been asked to set a retention policy of five years just for current employees. If I use a Static scope of all users for the retention policy, what happens when a user leaves. So after the deleted user is soft deleted then hard deleted, are their associated retained emails also deleted. I know we can use inactive mailboxes and legal holds if we want to keep the email, but just wondering about what happens if we don't.370Views0likes1CommentNFP - Defender for Servers
Hi all, Microsoft seem to want orgs to use Defender for Servers Plan 1 or Plan 2 which is priced via Azure. Is there any discount for NFPs to use this service, or is it expected to use the Azure grant. There's a real price difference between Defender for Servers and the old Defender for Endpoint ServerDefender Mixed Licensing
Hi, We have E5 and Defender P2 licenses for all staff. We will be hiring a few contractors for a few months and I was planning to give them spare Business Premium licenses we have. Will those users get Defender for Business Premium and will I be able to assign them policies via the portal. It seems we can only have either the Defender P2 portal or Defender Business portal?426Views0likes1CommentExternal Sharing - Microsoft Accounts
Hi, We run into an issue from time to time where we share something via OneDrive/SharePoint with a guest user and that users email address is associated with a Microsoft account, the personal account for Xbox, Skype etc. Is there anyway to prioritize One Time Passcodes over MSA accounts? Some of the guest users may have setup their MSA account ages ago and aren't sure of their password. Or even disable MSA accounts as an identity provider?571Views0likes1CommentDefender License Question
Hi all, We're a not for profit org with 120 staff members. I'm reviewing our Endpoint protection and looking at Microsoft Defender. I can see Defender for Business and Defender for Endpoint P2 which both have similar features. Is there much difference? I can also see (Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Server (Nonprofit Staff Pricing)). However I can't get any details on what features that brings. I know there is Defender for Cloud P2 but there's quite a big price difference between that and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Server. Is there a features list?SolvedLink Forms
Hi all, Is it possible to link two or MS Forms? So you complete part A and move to part B which is a different form, not just just different sections of same form? We have two forms that would naturally flow into each other but two different groups would need to check the responses and have ownership of each form.Solved17KViews0likes2CommentsFile Upload Failing
We have one user on one Form (group form created in Teams) that cannot up load any files to any forms within that site They can upload files to Forms created by a user or another group form belonging to a different site Can only assume it's a permissions issue but really at a loss as to what could be causing it?879Views0likes0CommentsSplit Tunnel
Hi all, For some staff members we've implemented split tunnelling for Office 365 as per this guide and the optimize addresses https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/enterprise/microsoft-365-vpn-split-tunnel?view=o365-worldwide How we seem to have a situation whereby if a person is has Outlook open, the connects to VPN, when they need to reauthenticate, Office 365 sees the traffic coming from our VPN/Corporate IP address range? This could be a problem with the VPN, but what authentication addresses do I need to exclude from going through the VPN? Sorry, networking isn't my strong suit.1.2KViews0likes0CommentsOneDrive sharing emails marked as malicious?
Hi all, Apologies if it's the wrong board. With the increase in remote working, we've seen more staff members use OneDrive or Teams to share files and comment on files (which is great). However it looks like an inordinate number of legitimate "x has shared file with you" emails are marked as malicious by the Office 365 spam/phish filter. These are all legitimate emails and sharing. Any suggestions?Solved2.8KViews0likes1CommentExternal Sharing - Licensing
Hi all, We need to share a word document with about 500 external people (assume they all have consumer email addresses and aren't Office 365 users in any other tenant). My first thought was just to use OneDrive/SharePoint and send a unique sharing link with edit permissions to a copy of the document. Is this possible? Will those external users need to be licensed to edit the document? Will they be able to edit the document without registering for a Microsoft account? I'm sure I'm missing something as rarely is anything simple with O365! ThanksSolved3.2KViews1like3Comments
