Re: Integrating PSF Fixes into MSIX Tool, Any Plans by Microsoft.
Hi Aniket_Banerjee Thanks for the Reply. so many 3rd party tools like Advanced Installer, Installshield integrated PSF fixes in to their respective Tools, but the product developer Microsoft not yet initiated this. it will help a lot if the fixes were integrated with in MSIX tool to avoid so many repeated/frequently facing issues like File Redirection Fixup, etc.. so many packagers using PSF Tool, developed by tim Murgent, kindly request you to Prioritize and initiate integrating PSF Fixes into MSIX Tool.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: @TIMOTHY PSF Tool @ Win 11 Build
Hi @Sharla Akers, Please suggest when we will get such tool from Microsoft like PSF tool to avoid manual work. is there any plan to integrate all PSF fixes in to MSIX Tool. it will help to avoid so much of manual intervention in fixing the issues as a part of trouble shooting. The other vendors are trying to integrate PSF fixes in their products (Advanced Installer) at their level best. but didn't see such plan from Microsoft product development team or i might miss the update. please suggest if Microsoft have such plans or if not, could you please take it as an Idea/Feedback to development Team. Thanks in Advance.797Views0likes0CommentsRe: Automating PSF Tool @ TIMOTHY MANGAN a.k.a. PSFtooling

Hi TIMOTHY_MANGAN In Windows 11 machine, I am using PSF tool available in Microsoft Store. Is there any limitation while using PSF tool in Windows 11 or is it compatible with Win 11, because while trying to use PSF tool, the tool is not able to inject PSF files like (config.json, psflauncher.exe, fixup dll files) into MSIX package. Is there any new version of PSF Tools available out side of the store, if yes, could you please provide direct download link. I visited your website, the latest version is 5.3.0 and the same is available in Microsoft Store also. I didn't this type of issue in earlier version of PSF Tool in Win 11. Could you please suggest.888Views1like1CommentRe: Powershell script is not working using PSF

Hi All, As we all know, we have new feature added in MSIX "Shared Containers" which allow to make a connection between two different MSIX application. My Question : How we manage this in Enterprise Deployment? do we have any option in Intune to push this to all users? if not, how we manage this through out the organization to multiple users/multiple machines? I didn't find much information in the below link: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/msix/manage/shared-package-container823Views0likes1CommentHow to convert .Net 4.5 or VC++ Redistributable pre-requisite related apps
Hi All, Could anyone advice how to convert the apps to MSIX which has .Net 4.5 or VC++ Redistributables as pre-requisites. 1. Do we need to bundle VC++along with the main application in MSIX? 2. If only bundle is the option, then how we deal with .Net 4.5 pre-req requirement apps? because most of the Win 10 devices has in built .Net 4.5., in order to bundle we need to install both .net along with main app in MSIX tools monitoring phase. how we install .net where it is already available on the machine. even we install also, not sure whether MSIX will capture whole part of .Net to bundle it with main app. Please suggest how to handle the conversion of apps with .Net and VC++ pre-req.1.2KViews0likes3CommentsMigration from AppV to MSIX@ PSF Tool Usage
Hi @TIMOTHY MANGAN Please advise, how to implement PSF Tool fixes in APPV to MSIX migration project? Is there any way? because, I didn't see any option/phase where we can execute PSF Tool to find and inject all required fixes while working with Microsoft MSIX Packaging Tool. The only option that I see is to do it manually (copying psf files, creating config.json file, updating manifest file etc...). Is there any other ready to use tool like PSF Tool, which help in App-V to MSIX migration project to fix the issues? Thanks in Advance.881Views0likes2Comments
