Re: New Audio-Only Recording Option for Teams Meetings
While I agree with the premise that few care about seeing colleagues faces on video in the recording, the thing that most people are looking at the recording for is the slides and shared screen content that's not included in audo-only recordings.387Views0likes1CommentRe: How to Add photo to USER profile cover
Microsoft recently announced in the M365 Admin center Message Center that some current license-only features will be moving the seeded version of Engage available to all M365 users. This includes draft/scheduled posts as well as the ability to change the cover photo on your storyline page. Rollout begins in late September 2025 and is expected to complete by late October 2025.82Views1like0CommentsRe: Trimming Viva Engage default “All Company” community membership
This is one reason why we put All Company into restricted posting mode (admins only) and then created a traditional community that we use for company news, etc. The membership is autopopulated based on employee type, so contractors aren't auto-added. Additionally, this allows our comms professionals to manage the community to do announcements and such - but doesn't require that they become Engage admins.152Views1like1CommentStream to Clipchamp Rebranding is Rolling Out Now
In a Targeted Release tenant, we just started to see the Stream web player be rebranded to Clipchamp today. There hasn't been a Message Center post about the rest of the rollout, what happens to "open in Stream" for meeting recordings, etc. but thought I'd put this out there for other customers to get prepared now for this change. More about the change that was announced in November but not other updates since then.789Views1like1CommentRe: Email settings groups
You may be able to find the email address in the global address book by typing in the To: box in Outlook, and then expand the list to get all the individual members. Otherwise, it could not easy. There's no front-end list of members export, and the back end function is in Entra ID / Azure AD - so possibly hard to find the right admin to pull this.102Views0likes0CommentsRe: Email settings groups
Engage used to allow users to create new posts via email if you used the email address that's associated with the M365 Group, and it didn't provide the distribution list and calendar features in Outlook that M365 Groups provide when you create them in SharePoint and Outlook. That create by email has been retired so the email address for the M365 Group for the community is essentially non-functional.131Views0likes2CommentsRe: Default Sharepoint Permissions Set to Everyone for Public Communities
This is the behavior for any SharePoint site connected to a Microsoft 365 Group that's public, including Teams workspaces that are public. You can't change this default behavior, and so you'd have to go into the permissions for the document library and somehow set up the permissions to omit the blocked users.158Views1like0Comments
