Testing Purview retention policies
Hello, I'm looking for a method to report on if a retention policy is actually applying - for example, we have a policy that deletes emails older than 10 years. Is there something that I can show to prove it is working? I've looked briefly in the audit logs, but that can be tricky to navigate.592Views0likes2CommentsBlocking/disabling missed messages emails
Hello, I've been tasked with blocking teams email notifications (the ones from noreply AT emeaemail.teams.microsoft.com that say "x sent a message in chat") Whilst I know you can set it on a per-user basis, there does not appear to be a way to set it globally? I've tried setting a mail flow rule to block them, but it's intermittent at best. Any ideas?2.5KViews0likes1CommentRe: Copilot in Word is not working
I've seen this update from another Copilot customer (see attached). It looks like switching to the Monthly Enterprise Channel fixes copilot in Word for now, but with 250 odd users in our tenant been moved, I don't really want to have to move all of them (especially when the recommendation was to go to Current Channel)7.4KViews0likes0Commentsnon owner mailbox access report
How do I get the audit logs to report non-owner mailbox access in exchange online? Since the feature disappeared in the Exchange admin center, I've tried using Purview Audit logs to no results other than when the owner accesses their own mailbox. I've tried a few attempts at using powershell, also with no avail.4.8KViews2likes5CommentsRe: Copilot in Word is not working
Thanks, but it wasn't a temporary error. I've had confirmation from another third party that MS carried out a debug session with them, MS have determined it’s the latest version of copilot at fault, which may explain why not everyone is seeing it. They have gone away with my debug to investigate and hopefully fix, fingers crossed!7.6KViews0likes1CommentRe: Teams Meeting Recordings and Transcriptions - Retention Concerns
I've been having the same issues with transcription, and until we can fix them it's unlikely we can turn it on for users. Which is annoying, because it's a big feature for copilot that we can't use. I've heard via a third party that they were told by an MS employee that this was going to be addressed, but obviously take that with a pinch of salt...28KViews0likes0CommentsCopilot in Word is not working
Anything I (or anyone else in our tenant) does in Microsoft Word with the Copilot sidebar does not respond. Most staff are on the current channel for Office, I'm on the Beta channel but get the same behavior. The main prompt when starting on a new page works fine (hence why the document is talking about American Football), and Copilot in the sidebar seems fine in other apps such as Excel and PowerPoint.9.2KViews0likes7CommentsTranscripts and setting an auto-deletion
Hello, My business has disabled recordings and transcriptions because of legal concerns, but are reviewing those as a result of requests we get from end users perioidically (especially with Copilot using transcription in Teams meetings as a useful summary of meetings). We've identified that you can set recordings (and their associated transcriptions) to delete automatically using the Teams Admin Center and they are stored in OneDrive. But it appears if you have just a transcript ran, the transcript is stored in the meeting organisers exchange online under FolderPath: "/ApplicationDataRoot/93c8660e-1330-4e40-8fda-fd27f9eafe10/MeetingTranscriptCollection" - I've verified this by browsing to that location in MFCMAPI. I've been tasked with setting a policy to delete any transcripts in those locations older than 7 days, but I cannot for the life of me work out how to accomplish it. I know labels are going to be the way to go for this, but simulations fail to pick up any results (when I know my mailbox has transcripts stored within it). Has anyone else had this issue?2.3KViews1like1CommentDoes Copilot not search teams?
I've recently been added to a Group in Microsoft Teams, but Copilot does not appear to actually search the information about the membership or ownership of the team. I know there are documents in the accompanying Sharepoint site that include this information.1.1KViews0likes1CommentExternal presenters in Town Halls
Does https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=123149 have any impact on Town Halls? Reason I ask is our 365 tenant does not appear to currently have the ability to invite external presenters to Town Hall Events in Microsoft Teams. I know the feature was supposed to be rolled out for Webinars by the end of October (and then got delayed slightly to be completed early this month as per MC675281), but I'm being asked to confirm if this includes Town Halls and other forms of webinar.1.9KViews1like2CommentsRe: Copilot for Teams Premium
Hi there, I've not got Premium, and Teams works for me. There are some quirks - transcription needs to be enabled (and if it's not enabled for the meeting organizer some features don't work). I also felt it worked better with the new version of Teams? I don't have a premium license to test copilot with it, but you don't seem to need it to get copilot running.2KViews0likes0CommentsCopilot greyed out in Excel
Hello, We've purchased the 300 licence copilot, I've assigned myself a licence and it's working in most apps as expected. However, in excel it appeared to be greyed out? Works fine on the web version, just not the desktop app. I'm on build 2310 of office.Solved31KViews1like6CommentsOnline archive of mailbox
My company currently does not have online archiving enabled for any user mailboxes. However, we currently use a third party archiving solution that we are planning to cease using. We are going to request from this third party the data is provided so we can re-import into 365 via Data Governance in Security & Compliance which I have used in the past without issue. However, some of our mailboxes are rather large - 60GB or more, these users are particularly heavy users, and the archive for these users could be over a decade of email data. It's likely to go above the 100GB limit, so therefore we have to enable online archiving. If I was to enable online archiving now, and import the data, would the older data be moved to the online archive automatically? Or can I specify the data is imported into the archive as part of the import?Solved1.9KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Create shared mailbox on Hybrid environment - directly on O365 or onpremises then migrate it to O365
I currently: Create an AD account in a OU that syncs with 365. On my on-prem exchange, run a powershell command: enable-remotemailbox <name> -remoteroutingaddress <mailbox>@<company>.onmicrosoft.com Once 365 has synced, change the mailbox to shared. Back in Active Directory I change the attribute msExchRecipientTypeDetails to 34359738368 and msExchRemoteRecipientType to 100167KViews6likes3Comments
