Re: Welcome to the Windows Autopatch Community!
Hi Harman_Thind You talk about excluding Windows Autopatch service accounts. But the assessment tool talks about excluding autopatch devices. But that would be all my devices.. I"m confused... 3. On the Include page, change the policy to use an assignment that targets a specific Azure AD group that doesn’t include any Windows Autopatch devices, and then select Save.3.4KViews0likes1CommentVery light print
We use Universal Print with multiple Canon ir-ADV 5550i which are UP printers. We have noticed about a 15-second delay getting the printers connected. We have one Canon printer that will print very light text or images. For example, you can print the same document to all 3 printers and the printer in question will print very light text while the other two print fine. The vendor cannot figure out the issue. Has anyone experienced UP resulting in a very light print, everything looks washed out. Yet, all diagnostics on the Canon show everything is fine including copying. We use Windows 10 & 11 and MDM to manage all devices. Assuming Windows Update is what is updating the Windows Universal Print software? We have been setup for a year on Office 365 MFA. We have now obtained the Azure P1 license and would like to use the full capabilities of Azure MFA. Unfortunately, I cannot fined any guidance on how to make this happen or the impact on the users. Does anyone have any guidance on how this is done? Thanks in advance.Secure Score
Is it possible to have Secure Score only recommend improvements for a cloud environment only? It just seems like a lot of the improvements are geared towards on-premise servers. Is there any way I can prevent these from being listed?? We no longer have any on-premise servers. Thanks John R692Views0likes0CommentsSharePoint copy link requires More Information
Hello, An issue has appeared over the last 2 months and is very intermittent. All within the same organization, users share links or copy and paste SharePoint documents via email. Sometimes the users can click on the link, and the document opens; other times, it requests More Information and ask to enter your password. Entering the password always fails, but if you click Cancel, the document opens. We notice this on the Microsoft 365 waffle; users will click on say Forms and More Information box pops up but clicking Cancel proceeds to Forms. This is very intermittent and only occurs once or twice a week but across all users. Has anyone experienced this issue, or is it a known issue? Braeden_Petruk_MSFT Got it, good advice. We have Canon Printers which offer native support to UP. My question: Access Control Allow access to everyone in my organization - did not work User - this works User Groups - Tested early-on and was not working Which is the preferred way if I want the entire company to have access? Thanks in advance1KViews0likes1CommentRe: Universal Print - Error Sent to Printer
Hi Jimmy_Wu I use a security group for the users and Endpoint Manager deploys the printers. The printers deploy successfully and show up in the app 'Word'. But when they print the queue says Error - Sent to Printer. The security group shows in the UP Access Control. I have not selected Selected Everyone in my Organization nor have I used a person's name in the Access Control. The user can go to Setup>Devices>Printer and Add the Cloud Printers as well but still cannot print. What you say about Print Admin makes sense. Thanks5.4KViews0likes2CommentsUniversal Print - Error Sent to Printer
Updated the Canon to the new firmware which natively supports UP. Registered the printer without issues. Shared the printer with a user. Add a Printer in Windows 10 Admin: Shows the UP printer and adds everything works User: Does not show the UP printer via Add Printer... Configured MEM and installed the printer on Win10. Everything looks good, but print fails with Error Sent to Print Both have the UP license assigned Any ideas why I'm getting Error - Sent to Printer? Additional Information. I logon the machine as an end-user and don't see Universal Printers via Add Printer but if I logon as Admin I do see the Universal Printers viea Add Printers. Looks like this might be something with UP licensing?? Saw this in another discussion thread. Is this true as we are Azure AD Joined. When a device is Azure AD Joined, not AAD Registered, then a normal user (no admin) cannot use Universal Print? Thanks in advance5.6KViews0likes4CommentsLive Events Access
If my company is going to hold an online conference, would Microsoft Teams Live Events be a good platform? Does is have the ability to limit those that paid for the events to join and preventing sharing of the live event link. We normally hold in person meeting but with COVID19 looking to move to online platform. All thoughts are appreciated! ThanksSolved1.1KViews1like1CommentForms Personal / Group Attachments

Can we get them to the root and use metadata? Simple form to send Contracts for approval with metadata Pending Reviewing Approved. I don't understand why is Microsoft using Folders??? The current Microsoft approved version according to Polycom is 5.9.0.9373 yet Microsoft is only pushing 5.8.0.12848. Is there a site that explains the provisioning model of this joint partnership (Polycom and Microsoft). Or is it best practice to just standup your own provisioning server and not rely on Microsoft to update? ThanksReoccrring Meeting
If I schedule a reoccurring meeting via Skype for Business will the Skype Meeting Conference ID: remain the same for all the meetings. I have a default Toll-Free number but not sure if they will hold the Conference ID for say a year of reoccurring meetings. I have to think so, but I cannot confirm via Google Search. I'm starting to test but if anyone know the answer that would help! ThanksRe: Sharepoint Webparts
Thanks for the reply, it sounds like in order for the company to see HR News I would have to grant everyone in the company access to HR. That is a non-starter due to sensitive data. There has to be a way to surface news/events without granting everyone access to everything?1.2KViews0likes2CommentsSharepoint Webparts
I'm in a small business and use the Hub site as a company portal to our team sites via megamenu. We have department and project team sites. All sites are associated with the hub. Each dept has access to their own dept team site only but may be part of the project team site. The issue is neither Events or New Rolls up to the Hub from other team sites for staff except for Admins. Is there a way I can have new roll up from depts to Hub without giving read access to say HR or Finance Team Site??Solved1.3KViews0likes5CommentsWebparts launch client app
Is there a setting where I can have webparts like the Quick Links webpart automatically open the client app and not the browser? I've changed the setting for the Document Library and works great but webparts on the home page open in a browser. SharePoint Online with Hub, Communication and Team sites. Any thoughts on a file naming convention that would prevent multiple departments from accidentally overwriting on a collaborative project? This is a 7 month long project involving many departments, general business. We are using metadata which means every filename needs to be unique. I've read about adding the yyyymmdd to the beginning of every file or adding 3 character department ID to the filename. Any other thoughts?1.8KViews0likes0Comments
