Re: Sharepoint link not resolving in OWA
Dave, I raised a case with the Microsoft and after many weeks of supplying videos and logs, this is the rsponse: "Kindly note that the issue reported on this ticket is by-design as of now. The Exchange team have shared the feedback with Product group and its under their radar. Currently we do not have an ETA from them as fix depends on lot of factors." I have been directed to sharepoint forum from the Outlook forum, below is what I posted in the outlook forum. This had worked until recently, now any file I share, the outlook web app only shows a non-clickable url. Previously it resolved the url to the name and was clickable. If I cut and paste the link back into the same email that has been opened by the sharepoint process, it resolves to the name. If from sharepoint, I copy the link, i can paste it into word/excel/owa successfully. Any user I have asked to test, gets the same experience. Issue with any word, excel, pdf, ppt these are the common extension types used in our organisation No recent update or change, user reported this in 21/10/2024 and indicated that her method had stopped working two weeks prior, so estimate something changed around early october. We do not allow external sharing so all sharing is within the origanisation. I have a PPT document that I have a link to in my onedrive, if I share this link with a colleague, and they open it (they have permissions to open), all they get is one of the images from the slideshow: If I openthe url (so it goes to the original file) then share the file with the same user, it automatically opens in the powerpoint app. This is what I expected the shared url from my onedrive to do. NOTE: If I share a onedrive url of a XLSX file, it gives a preview wanring then opens in Excel app once Open is clicked. Am I missing something re PPT files? Thanks in advance. We all have E5 licences, however some staff who are Organisers of meetings, and record, can only download the recording - it does not go to their stream. I am one of the lucky ones that can see the recording in stream - and I am in IM&T. Is there a setting somewhere that determines if staff can view their recordings in Stream? Thanks in advance.
