Based on https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/tech-community-discussion/private-messages-about-amas/m-p/2416892 discussion, there could a checkbox in general settings, private messages settings or hub settings to agree to get notifications about AMAs.

I hear you, the system we use today is an out of the box solution and we have just asked Khoros to investigate a better way for us to communicate AMAs and other things we currently send via Group Private Messages. One of the things we have asked them for is a specific opt out option rather than just asking them to 'un join' the community hub that send them the Group PM.
