Data Protection for predictive analytics in HR

Copper Contributor

Dear all,

I am currently doing research on the topic of data protection / GDPR compliance for a voluntary attrition dashboard for an international company. The goal is to see who is "in risk" of leaving the company and proactively trying to keep them. Of course, there is a huge amount of personal data involved (kids, salary, tenure...) How do you make sure this practice is GDPR compliant?

Any help is welcomed! :)

The general rule for GDPR is that you have to make sure you have justification purpose for collecting data and also keep data for certain period of time. The best would be collect only necessary data and you may develop logic to only collect non-personal data like behavior might leads to leaving and define if condition was true, then display the employee ID.

In general you need to verify it with your Data Protection Officer or the one who is in charge of privacy in company and show what data are being collected and why and how they are being used and processed.
