When did you join the Student Ambassadors community?
I joined the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador community in January 2022.
What was being a Student Ambassador like?
Being a Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador was an incredible experience. It was both an honor and a privilege to represent the world’s largest tech company, which also happens to be my favorite.
This program had a significant impact on my career. I got the opportunity to contribute to social impact projects focused on digital accessibility, healthcare, and education. I collaborated with Microsoft employees and multinational teams, led a workshop that reached a global audience, earned AI certification through a Microsoft Certified exam, and qualified for the "Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub."
Most importantly, I was able to promote learning and innovation within the tech community and gain invaluable knowledge and mentorship through direct interactions with Microsoft employees.
Was there a specific experience you had while you were in the program that had a profound impact on you and why?
One of the most profound experiences I had during the program was working on various social impact projects focused on digital accessibility, healthcare, and education. Collaborating with multinational teams from different countries allowed me to exchange knowledge with diverse individuals and work effectively in a remote setting. This enriched my understanding and skills significantly.
Additionally, being part of the Ambassador Program provided me with valuable exposure to the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub. As a result, I successfully onboarded my personal startup app, Health AI: A Personal Healthcare Companion, to the platform.
Tell us about a technology you had the chance to gain a skillset in as a Student Ambassador. How has this skill you acquired helped you in your post-university journey?
During my time as a Student Ambassador with Microsoft, I had the opportunity to develop a valuable skillset in artificial intelligence (AI). I participated in several AI workshops and earned the Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals Certification. Additionally, I applied my AI skills practically through the Social Impact Project, where I worked on a real-world AI application. My involvement in the Microsoft Imagine Cup further deepened my experience with Azure AI and opened doors to additional opportunities in the field.
I also successfully onboarded my personal startup app, Health AI: A Personal Healthcare Companion, to the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub. This achievement granted me access to $1,000 in Azure credits, $2,500 in OpenAI credits, and a range of valuable technical benefits and business resources, significantly boosting my startup's potential.
As a result of these experiences, I had the opportunity to join Sense & Respond Software LLC, a remote company based in the USA, as an AI Developer. In this role, I develop AI components for various projects and research Generative AI tools, large language models (LLMs), and natural language processing techniques.
What is something you want all students, globally, to know about the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program?
The Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program offers a transformative opportunity for students to engage with a major tech corporation. Participating in this program can be a game-changer, providing invaluable experiences that pave the way for future success. I strongly encourage every student to apply and take advantage of this amazing opportunity.
What advice would you give to new Student Ambassadors, who are just starting in the program?
For new Student Ambassadors just starting out, my advice is to be passionate about your work. The opportunities available to you are limitless. If you focus on what you love and stay committed, everything will eventually come together to guide you toward your goals.
Share a favorite quote with us! It can be from a movie, a song, a book, or someone you know personally. Tell us why you chose this. What does it mean for you?
The quote that changed my life comes from the poet Mario Quintana: “Don’t waste your time chasing butterflies. Mend your garden, and the butterflies will come.” At a young age, people often become obsessed with pursuing money, success, and relationships, sometimes without a clear purpose, and ultimately end up feeling unfulfilled. From my own experience, I’ve learned that the key to true satisfaction is to stop chasing external achievements and instead focus on following your passion, doing what you love, and working on self-development. When you invest in yourself and cultivate your own growth, the universe tends to align in your favor, bringing you everything you’ve ever desired.
Tell us something interesting about you, about your journey.
Becoming a Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador has been the most transformative experience of my life. It provided me with invaluable exposure at an early stage, allowing me to lay the groundwork for my future career. I am deeply grateful for the opportunities Microsoft has offered me.
