When did you join the Student Ambassadors community?

Early 2021.

What was being a Student Ambassador like?

Being a Student Ambassador was extremely fulfilling for me. I was able to meet incredible people that I still admire today and got to participate in amazing projects. I felt constantly supported and loved by extremely talented people. They constantly motivated me to grow and pursue what I wanted!

Being a Student Ambassador helped me become the person I had always dreamed of becoming.

Was there a specific experience you had while you were in the program that had a profound impact on you and why?

I participated in a reunion with other Student Ambassadors from Mexico, and it was one of the best experiences in my life. I was able to meet people I admired in a fun environment. That was the first time I was recognized by the program for my participation. I felt appreciated and it motivated me even more to try every project I had in mind. I was finally gifted in something.

Tell us about a technology you had the chance to gain a skillset in as a Student Ambassador. How has this skill you acquired helped you in your post-university

The most important skillset I gained was managing projects with a team. I was able to create, plan and participate in events that had a significant impact on many people. I started feeling increasingly confident in my ideas and

Joining the program was the beginning of discovering who I am, what my talents are and what I enjoy doing. It is the perfect opportunity to meet talented people, join incredibly fun and interesting projects, and develop your potential.

I would join this program again every time!

What advice would you give to new Student Ambassadors, who are just starting in the program?

Talk to other Ambassadors. Even if they are from another region, you would be amazed by how kind, talented and fun they are. Do not waste this amazing opportunity.

You are enough and you can achieve anything you want to. :)

Share a favorite quote with us! It can be from a movie, a song, a book, or someone you know personally. Tell us why you chose this. What does it mean for you?

"It's not too late, it's never too late." This quote has become my motivation to overcome obstacles and do what I want. I had to stop my studies for a semester to improve my mental health and I felt that I was going to miss out on many things. However, every single opportunity was still there, and it was not too late for me to make the most of my experience.

Tell us something interesting about you, about your journey.

At first, I wanted to study psychology or animation. I started studying computer science engineering without feeling very enthusiastic about it. However, when I met my teacher Paty, she taught me the impact of women in STEM and how we can inspire other girls and women to improve the world.

I started joining student groups for women in STEM and I fell in love with them. I became a completely different person - more confident, more passionate, and I finally loved what I was doing. When I joined the MLSA program, I was extremely excited about connecting with talented women and that’s exactly what happened.

I hope to become a role model some day for young girls that want to join this industry.
