When did you join the Student Ambassadors community?

My journey began in August 2020.

What was being a Student Ambassador like?

The global community of Student Ambassadors is filled with passionate individuals who share an interest in technology and making a positive impact. Being a Student Ambassador provided me with diverse learning opportunities. Microsoft's resources, training, and mentorship programs helped me stay at the forefront of innovative technologies and expand my skill set. As a result, I felt empowered to continuously grow and develop both professionally and personally.

Was there a specific experience you had while you were in the program that had a profound impact on you and why?

I was presented with numerous opportunities as a Student Ambassador that allowed me to enhance both my leadership and technical skills. One specific experience was participating in an Ideathon or Intensive Brainstorming Event, where I collaborated with a talented team of 12 to propose an innovative application. Working together taught me invaluable aspects of teamwork, and it was during this time that I had the privilege of meeting some of my mentors who would guide me throughout my journey.

Tell us about a technology you had the chance to gain a skillset in as a Student Ambassador. How has this skill you acquired helped you in your post-university journey?

Within the Ambassador community, I had the privilege of attending numerous sessions on machine learning. These workshops not only improved my knowledge but also gave me hands-on experience with Azure's ML Studio platform. I leveraged this newfound expertise in job interviews and projects, enabling me to excel and make a significant impact. The knowledge and skills I acquired as a Student Ambassador have become invaluable assets.

What is something you want all students, globally, to know about the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program?

I want all students to know that this program welcomes and embraces all individuals eager to learn about technology. Whether your strengths are in public speaking, designing, or any other passion, there is a place for you.

What advice would you give to new Student Ambassadors, who are just starting in the program?

Students from diverse backgrounds come together to join the MLSA program, each with their unique aims and aspirations. For me, it was all about empowering fellow students and making a positive impact on my community. I strongly believe in creating opportunities for everyone, fostering an environment where growth and development flourish.

Share a favorite quote with us! It can be from a movie, a song, a book, or someone you know personally. Tell us why you chose this. What does it mean for you?

My favorite quote is "Do not connect the dots looking forward, always connect them looking backwards." This quote struck a chord with me, reminding me that in life, we may encounter decisions and paths that seem unappealing. However, as time unfolds and we glance back at our journey, we often find that those very decisions led us to unforeseen opportunities and valuable lessons.

Tell us something interesting about you, about your journey.

This incredible journey as a Student Ambassador has been nothing short of transformative. Through this program, I have not only empowered others by sharing knowledge but also empowered myself by learning, growing, and making a meaningful difference. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this inspiring community, and I look forward to a future filled with continuous growth and positive impact.
