Today we meet Bruna Lanzarini who recently graduated with a degree in Information Systems from Faculdade de Informatica e Administracao Paulista in Brazil.

What is your degree in?
I graduated with a degree in Information Systems from the Faculdade de Informática e Administração Paulista (FIAP) in Brazil.
When did you join the Student Ambassadors community?
I joined the program in January 2020, through friends from my college who already participated and encouraged me to participate too.
What was being a Student Ambassador like?
It was gratifying, a welcoming place where I could test and learn new things without being afraid of being judged. Everyone is there to learn and pass on what they learn. I always say that the community was my second family.
Was there a specific experience you had while you were in the program that had a profound impact on you and why? For example – being involved in a Social Impact Project, Networking with a Cloud Advocate or MVP (Microsoft Most Valuable Professional), Mentoring another Student Ambassador?
I believe that from all the experiences I had, I got something positive out of it. Leaving technical development aside, making new friends was the most impactful thing for me! They are people who, since I met them, have always been by my side and supported me in what I needed. I certainly intend to take this with me for the rest of my life.
Tell us about a technology you had the opportunity to gain a skillset in during your time as a Student Ambassador? How has this skill you acquired helped you in your post-university journey?
When I joined the community, it was my goal to learn more about cloud computing, specifically Azure. In addition to having managed to meet this goal, today I work at Microsoft as a Cloud Solution Architect and my day-to-day is all about Azure with a focus in, (Azure Active Directory).
It was an intense learning journey, but very rewarding!
What is something you want all students, globally, to know about the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program?
As I said before, ambassadors are a second family. After our parents, our student friends will always be there for us, supporting us and encouraging us to achieve more, learn more and go even further. It's almost impossible to believe they're all real, but nothing a virtual visit can't fix!
What advice would you give to new Student Ambassadors, who are just starting off in the program?
Enjoy every second, it goes by so fast!
From my own experience, I know that it's easy to get lost amid so many activities and learning opportunities but keep yourself organized to get the most out of it.

It's funny that I recently read a phrase that, in addition to making a big impression on me, I'm using for everything:
“The most effective way to do it, is to do it." - Amelia Earhart.
For a long time, I thought about making everything perfect and thought about the smallest details before executing something. The problem was that I kept thinking too much and didn't get anything off the paper.
Today I’ve learned and want to share that if you want to do something, just do it! Dreams are there to be lived, moments are there to happen, knowledge is there to be learned... If you need to adjust something along the way, with time we improve!
Tell us something interesting about you, about your journey.
The most interesting thing is that, in fact, I never planned or ever imagined I’d be working with technology; I wanted to study medicine to be a pediatrician.
I don't really know how it is around the world, but in Brazil it's very difficult to get into medicine. So, I informed my father of my choice of wanting to go to Argentina to attend graduation. As it was a change of country, he didn't take it very well and told me to stay in Brazil and try something else, and that if it didn't work out or I couldn't find myself, that we could talk again.
Without thinking too much, I chose something completely different (the famous STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), thinking that it was just playing games and drawing in Paint - and I was sure that I wouldn't make a living with that. Well, I went to college (which I chose because it has a pink logo, but that's a secret, don't tell anyone!), and I fell in love with it! Today I study, work and I'm building my life with technology.
