When did you join the Student Ambassadors community?

I joined this awesome community 2 years ago on 7 January 2020.

What was being a Student Ambassador like?

Being a Student Ambassador was a fantastic experience that gave me the chance to meet wonderful people who are experts in their respective fields of technology. Since I joined this program at the beginning of my academic career, it helped me establish my career life. As a Student Ambassador, I gained skills in teamwork, leadership, and communication that benefit me in both the academic and professional worlds, as well as the real world. Overall, it helped me develop and learn. I wholeheartedly endorse it to anyone who is enthusiastic about technology and fostering community!

Was there a specific experience you had while you were in the program that had a profound impact on you and why?

Well, this program gave me a lot of opportunities and experience. Networking with tech experts and brilliant individuals is an experience that cannot be obtained anywhere else. I met some incredibly kind and knowledgeable people through this program. The ability to connect with people worldwide in one community is rare.

The workplace is similar to a community in which we develop ourselves. I was mentored by some of the top Ambassadors when I was accepted into the program, and now I am doing the same for fellow Ambassadors and students.

As part of my social impact project, we aimed to create an application that would provide meal recommendations based on the fundamental data (reports) collected by smartwatches. It is meant to limit placing bad meal orders, according to the report. Throughout the entire duration of the social impact project, we made an effort to really consider the problems and concepts of the actual world and try to solve them using modern technology.

Additionally, I contributed to the creation of the courses "Data Science for Beginners," "Intro to C++," and "Intro to static app module." Contributing to the official Microsoft Learn docs is an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to work with other teams to develop a variety of webinars and seminars. Students have benefited much from my work in terms of developing their abilities and learning new technology. Being a part of this journey and assisting with others' learning has been a wonderful experience.

Tell us about a technology you had the chance to gain a skillset in as a Student Ambassador. How has this skill you acquired helped you in your post-university journey?

A key milestone in my professional development was gaining knowledge in data science, Azure, and cloud computing through the MLSA program. These are the industry-specific skills that I utilize at Celebal Technology, where I work as a Junior Associate. Workshops, challenges, bug-bash, and contribution opportunities are all offered by the MLSA community to help you learn about the technology. I had the chance to network and make connections with peers and business leaders as well. I can now use the abilities I acquired throughout my time in the program at my place of employment. .

What is something you want all students, globally, to know about the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program?

Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors is the perfect option for students to benefit both their academic and professional lives. It offers students the opportunity to strengthen their soft skills and get experience in the real world. Students who take part in the program get the chance to network and engage with business leaders and develop skills in cutting-edge technology. It is an invaluable opportunity for students to develop their skillsets and gain experience.

What advice would you give to new Student Ambassadors, who are just starting in the program?

Ask, Learn, Collaborate, Mentor is my guiding principle for the new Student Ambassadors.

Ask: Encourage new Student Ambassadors to seek assistance whenever they need it, whether it is regarding their roles, obligations, or any difficulties they may encounter.

Learn: Promote group development and ongoing learning. Encourage them to learn from their classmates, mentors, and the larger community. Emphasize the importance of being receptive to fresh viewpoints.

Collaborate: The importance of cooperation among the Student Ambassadors should be emphasized. Student Ambassadors should encourage their team members to collaborate and to share expertise and experiences. Emphasize the effectiveness of group work in accomplishing shared objectives.

Mentor: Encourage experienced Student Ambassadors to take on mentoring positions. To help their fellow Ambassadors, encourage them to impart their knowledge. Advocate how mentorship can have a positive impact on someone's personal and professional development.

Share a favorite quote with us! It can be from a movie, a song, a book, or someone you know personally. Tell us why you chose this. What does it mean for you?

"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us." - Gandalf, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. I chose this quote because it reminds us that we are in control of our own destiny. We cannot control the circumstances that we are born into, but we can control how we respond to them. We can choose to focus on the negative and let it consume us, or we can choose to focus on the positive and make the most of our time. I also think this quote is applicable to anyone's journey through life. No matter where we come from or what we have been through, we all can make a difference in the world. We all have the power to choose how we spend our time, and we all have the power to make our lives meaningful.

Tell us something interesting about you, about your journey.

I was not really involved in the community or tech stuff when I started this program. However, even though there was a pandemic when I joined, the community was still going strong. The MLSA program supports students in developing leadership, communication, community engagement and technological skills. In just one month, I met amazing Cloud Advocates and Microsoft professionals who supported us in learning.
