Version 18.1 of the Microsoft ODBC Driver 18 for SQL Server has been released. Version 18.1 brings several new features and fixes to the driver.
Features
- New IpAddressPreference option: Choose preference between IPv6, IPv4, or OS defaults.
- New RetryExec option to configure how the driver can retry certain executions.
- Support for VBS-NONE enclave attestation option for using enclaves without attestation.
- Wildcard matching of HostNameInCertificate
- New ServerCertificate option for finer control of server certificate validation.
- Support for Ubuntu 22.04
- Support for Red Hat 9
- Support for ARM64 Linux platforms: Debian 11, RedHat 8 and 9, Ubuntu 20.04, 22.04
Fixes
- Fixed an intermittent connection failure issue with polling for the first successful connection when multiple IP addresses are resolved.
- Fixed an intermittent hang when using SQLBulkOperations in async mode.
- Fixed connecting with Strict and non-Strict encryption modes simultaneously.
- Fixed a missing dependency in the Debian package.
- Fixed an issue with idle connection resiliency when Kerberos authentication is used.
