Outlook mail black background
Hi , One of my users has a bizarre issue whereby only the body received emails have a black background. Toolbars and the rest of the app are system default. This is both in reading paneand when opening mail. I have checked his appearance settings and they are Office background - no background Office Theme - Use system setting. This is for anyone else who no longer sees the button to switch back to the old outlook. I have included step by step photos to get back to the old outlook! First click "Help" at the top left. Below "Help" should bring up another menu, now select "Feedback". Now look to the very right and you should see the option to select a feedback option, select "Report a problem". Now you should see a box where you can type what the problem is, make sure to clearly mention that you cannot switch back to the old outlook, the button is missing and you want to switch back to the old outlook, this is important because when you submit this answer it will scan your message and generate possible solutions. Once you've filled out the box with your problem, scroll down, click yes or no on both options (it doesn't matter what you choose but you need to select an answer for both), then click "Submit" at the bottom. It will diagnose the problem and match you up with one or more possible solutions, make sure you see this one below that says "toggling out of the new outlook for windows preview", DO NOT CLICK "Yes" AT THE BOTTOM or it will end the feedback and assume you got your answer and you will need to restart this process. Instead you need to click on the arrow that is circled in this picture. Freedom awaits, now click on "Do it for me" and it will automatically take you back to the old outlook. Congratulations! I added an event to my calendar from a different email account and added my primary account as a person/invite. My primary account is shared with someone but as view only permissions. They were able to accept the invite sent to MY primary account? After someone said they had emailed me, and I couldn't see the email, I resent the email by clicking reply on my sent email, and their email response came up sitting before my response. But it could not be seen in the Inbox. It happened again today, only this time I noticed I had received an email OK from the same person about a different subject. This is a huge Microsoft Mistake in the New Outlook. The New Outlook is designed to not allow access to all Public Folders! I received the following response from Technical Support after several weeks of telling them about the problem and after they researched the issue, they responded: "We did the test and investigation on our test machine and found that 'All Public folders' can't be accessed at once like in Classic Outlook.In New Outlook each Public folder has to be added manually for Windows and it is by internal design." I'm not sure who is leading the design team, but this is a huge mistake.Microsoft setup Public folders to allow a company to share project related email with staff. In our public folders, we have a large number projects and folders in Public Folders. This has been available since at least before 2011. I am sure we are not alone. It currently works perfectly. Why would Microsoft arbitrarily decide to not support a system that works well as it is???? If they are worried about the size of the database, allow users to create an online archive as you do with personal email? In the old Outlook I could drag Word, Excel, JPG, PDF files to a specifik folder under In-box and release. Then the file would be saved here. I can't do this in my 365. Current State: Currently, you can create and assign a category to a contact card. However, you can not easily delete the actual Category. Background Info:The categories for contacts in New Outlook are separate from the Inbox and Calendar categories. The Delete a category icon in the People Tab appears to have been missed. Workaround Solution: I had to remove the category from each contact by pressing the X by the category. Then, I closed and reopened New Outlook, and the category was no longer in the left navigation in the People tab. More Information:I know Microsoft is working on improvements for Contacts. My Outlook was updated to the newest version a few days ago and I'm having issues with opening PDF attachments in my default PDF viewer. Before, you could click the attachment in the email and get a preview but if you were to fully open the attachment it would open in my default application. When I click on it I get this viewer instead of it going directly to Adobe PDF. If I have to download it, I would prefer to save it as a location that I choose. I have a PDF that has a button to email the doc. It is not working since I upgraded to the new outlook. It seems to work the email opens with the pdf attached and when I send it the the email disappears but it does not send the email. New outlook does not seem able to parse project wise links which start with PW://. But not only that it doesn't recognise them as links at all. Emails received with PW:// links are simply ignored and treated as plain text. Replying to the email, the link then is correctly formatted as a hyperlink, but right clicking and 'edit' the link field is blank. This is on any email account. I have emails being auto-forwarded from a business Rackspace IMAP account. Every once in a while I received an email from another Outlook user that duplicates even if I read it or delete it...it still floods in and jams up my inbox so that I no longer have room in my Rackspace account and it turns away incoming emails. Hi. I recently changed my mobile phones and I swapped the data from my old phone to new. My outlook email account and authentication app both asked for my login and passwords. This is where my issue started. I couldn’t remember my password and I tried to reset this however my account has a 2 factor authentication on it. I cannot continue to the 2nd request as it asks for a code from the authentication app which I cannot access due to the password issue. So I’m stuck, going around in circles trying to reset my password without any luck. So I’ve found out that it takes 30 days to correct my account, which I cannot wait for as this is my main account for emails causing me to miss important emails . Since I upgraded to windows 11, Outlook no longer can search for text in messages. This was working on Windows 10 and Windows 8/7.
