Synchronization without MS log-in.

Copper Contributor

Because of some problem, I sent my computer for repair.

Before sending it, I installed Windows and all my files were removed. I didn't log in MS account.

When I picked up my computer, the engineer told me that there were files in OneDrive folder, and  advised me to delete them next time.

I wondered but he was right.

Even more, I tried to remove OneDrive app but to find no OneDrive app in my PC.

Please anybody explain me what happened.

Hi @Nabigol,

the OneDrive folder is like a special folder on your computer that's connected to your online storage space called Microsoft OneDrive. So, anything you put in that folder gets copied to your OneDrive account on the internet.

Now, here's the interesting part: even if you didn't sign in with your Microsoft account on your computer this time, you might have done it in the past. And if you did, that could be why you (or/and your engineer) are seeing files in the OneDrive folder. Those files from before might have been synced up to your online OneDrive without you realizing it.
