Photos delete but reappear
Hi
I have a PC and a Phone, wish to save some files from PC to OD and photos, videos from phone.
This is currently working, however, when I delete files they reappear once phone syncs again. This is despite me deleting all content from recycle bin.
So I ran out of space in OD, so opened OD on PC, spent ages deleting photos, when phone synced, back they came. I thought they would have been deleted from gallery also in the process from what I have read. Can someone please advise how to permanently delete files/photos etc from OD that then deletes them across all connected devices.
Sorry for such a basic question.

- If you delete files on demand that are only stubs on connected devices then you are not deleting the files, just removing (something like) shortcut links to the online files.
You either need to delete them using a OneDrive app or from the web view, or fully sync them to the client device and then delete them.Hi
I deleted them within the OD app on my PC, you could see the file sizes, I then deleted them from the recycle bin. You could see the available space increasing a gig at a time..
- following the sync after deleting the above files, I now have thousands of duplicates in OD 😞
