Authenication Issue - Live Event

New to MS Stream.  I'm using Wirecast S as the encoder.  Everything seems straight forward with the setup in Stream but after launching the encoder and starting the broadcast/stream, I get "You are not currently authenticated.  Please go to the Output Settings dialog to authenticate to your destination and try again".  There is a place on the settings screen called "Set Credentials" but does not seem to matter in that it keeps getting the message when attempting to start the stream again.  I've tried different formats of the user name.  The required ports for streaming are open and we do have an Office E3 license.
