Streams classic embed links
What happens to embedded Stream Classic links in online documents ie in Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint/ PDFs. After migration of videos to Stream on SharePoint, what will happen to these links? How will they be preserved?

- Based on what the Stream product team has communicated, these links should continue to work following migration - BUT only until redirects stop February 15, 2025. If someone clicks on a link that is going to a video file in Stream Classic and the file has been migrated using the migration tool, a redirect will be in place. So . . . you still need to update those files and put the new link in them before 2025 when the redirects stop.

When I click on the link I get an error message - microsoft classic stream has been disabled by your organisation. Do I need to follow up with my IT department? thanks- Yes. You definitely need to check with IT. It sounds like they have completed the migration of videos and expect you to be working only with storing your videos in SharePoint.
