As part of today’s announcements at the SharePoint Virtual Summit, we are extending our journey for digital transformation. The Office 365 connected workplace, with SharePoint as a foundation, is essential to achieving this goal. Along with great content services and machine learning, implementing business processes in Office 365 is more than just converting legacy processes into cloud formats. It provides an opportunity to transform an organization by rethinking all aspects of business process to create lasting advances in organizational value.
As part of today’s announcements, we will be rolling out:
Gather: capture and manage business data
Automate: Streamline repetitive tasks and process
Liberate: Create innovative custom data insights and interactions
Adding additional field types such as image, taxonomy, and lookup to the SharePoint connector for PowerApps, Flow and Power BI, coming in summer 2017
Early adopters have already benefitted from these innovations. Avanade, the global systems integrator, has already rolled out its “Information at your Fingerprints” app, using PowerApps, Microsoft Flow and SharePoint to share real time access to case studies, demos, collateral and sales training for its global workforce.
Last year, we focused on bringing SharePoint and OneDrive data into the PowerApps & Flow world. This year, we are doubling down by bringing PowerApps, Flow and Power BI completely into the SharePoint experience. For more details on how, please see our Microsoft Mechanics video:
Thanks,
Chris
