In the June 2023 service release (2306), we're offering significant additions to Microsoft Intune security and productivity features. The first is the release of Mobile Application Management (MAM) for Microsoft Edge for Business on Windows! Long-awaited: MAM for Edge on Windows
"When will you have MAM for Windows?" is one of the most frequently asked questions from organizations around the globe. We're happy to report that the answer is: "Now!" The long-awaited MAM capability is now available in public preview for Microsoft Edge for Business on Windows.
Using MAM, Microsoft Edge for Business provides users with secure access to organizational data on personal Windows devices with a customizable user experience. We've combined the familiar security features of app protection policies (APP), Windows Defender client threat defense, and conditional access, all anchored to Azure AD identity to ensure unmanaged devices are healthy and protected before granting data access. This can help businesses improve their security posture and protect sensitive data from unauthorized access, without requiring full device enrollment on Windows.
The new capability extends the benefits of app layer management to the Windows platform via Microsoft Edge for Business.

Improved management for Windows drivers and firmware updates in Intune
This month's release makes it easier to keep drivers and firmware on Windows devices up to date in Intune. The days of manually researching and downloading appropriate drivers, repackaging them, and deploying them using generic tools are over!
The new driver update management policies and reports built right into Intune and available with Windows Enterprise bring several benefits to businesses. These benefits include intelligent servicing to identify available driver updates, granular controls for deployment such as pause a specific driver, management of manual/optional drivers, detailed reporting for monitoring device status, and recommendations for remediation. These features can help businesses improve device management and maintain a more secure and reliable computing environment. You can manage these policies through Intune or Autopatch, providing flexibility for your business needs.
